Protecting newer players in Autahenetsi

So with the hunt for pirates under way in Authenetsi and Persephone, I was looking forward to some nice PVC action to change up all the PVP that I've been doing in combat zones lately. However, once I got over there I heard a lot of people complaining about "bounty hunter hunters" flying around and teaming up on smaller ships, wasting all their hard earned bounties. Heading out of the station, sure enough I was almost immediately interdicted by a wing of two pythons and two Imperial Clippers. Ended up they were trying to stop people handing in bounties at the fed station so their factions would be better off. Anyway, my brand new ASP didn't really stand a chance, so I lost pretty much everything, just glad they upped the money you can be loned or I'd be back to a sidewinder :(

Whilst I ceertanly can't be angry at some pilots for trying to support their faction, it isn't very fun for newer players getting their ships blown up when they were just trying to earn some credits, from a group of ships they never stood a chance against. So this call goes out to any experienced pilots, on both the Fed and Imperial side, to come to Authenetsi and help defend lower level players. These guys all have high bounties as they have been firing on and killing clean ships, so they should all be worth a pretty penny, and you could always combine it with some USS farming of your own.

So please come give us noobs a hand to fight off these high level pilots who think picking on lower level guys just to give their faction a slight edge is cool. Also, head over to Persephone to make sure no Feds are doing the same thing, cause picking on new players isn't cool regardless of who does it!

If you want SAFE money, gather it in more remote areas. DANGEROUS money, is near community goals in open. This should be obvious. Now that you have the knowledge, don't quit and don't go play with the little girls in solo... stick it out in open and learn how to avoid unwanted interactions. It's easy with a little practice and forethought.

Yes I agree, it takes a special kind to get kicks off of killing newer players in inferior ships where it should simply be pure suicide to even attempt. Not cool at all in my opinion.

I've agreed with you in the past but I simply can't here......attacking players outside of a station should simply be suicide and apparently it still isn't and attacking 4 on 1 more so is them just acting like d-bags in a place where it should just not be possible.

Good. I'm glad we don't agree on everything. How boring would the world be?

I myself have never once been killed near the entrance to a station, because I know how to avoid it. It's not hard! I WILL agree though, that I think security ships at the entrance to stations need to have more hutzpa. A conda, a couple FDLs maybe... dangerous AI pilots too, with the station fire to back them up. If you want to attack players at the station, they should be forced to do it at 8 or 10km.

Sorry, think I may have given the wrong message here. What I mean by "Heading out of the station, sure enough I was almost immediately interdicted by a wing of two pythons and two Imperial Clippers." is that I was interdicted right after entering supercruise, not when I was still in normal space where the station could back me up

Ah yes, then there is miscommunication as I assumed you meant like ships sitting right near the no fire zone. My advice is don't do your bounty hunting in system....it is almost a guarantee that muppets will be there. I tend to do mine like at least 40 LY away. When entering the system if in open be extremely careful and don't let ships get right on your 6.....if necessary drop out of supercruise and frog hop your way to the station.

I see. But as I have posted elsewhere... this is where the choice to participate comes in. These 4 guys organized up to pull off a goal. Just as these 4 wanted players are attacking ships keeping them from succeeding in the CG, there should be equal numbers of Bounty Hunters in equally good ships, chasing them off. If there are no BHers in the area and Pirates/Killers are the only wings in the area... don't do the CG then. Do something else and come back later. You can usually spot these wings when you warp to the system on your way in. If they are there, drop to normal space and high-wake to another system.

If you're only RES farming, do it 20LY away somewhere else, and keep them on your ship until you see a clear supercruize path into the station to turn them in. On your way out, you high-wake back to your remote system from the mailslot... don't supercruise in that home system if there are CMDRs hunting.
