Patch Notes Update PS4 and XBox One Performance Options Patch

Mission boards load almost instantly for me now, the spinning wheel of doom is finally gone. Hopefully it stays that way, but a noticeable improvement.
 
seems that the patch DOES affect PS4 standard edition consoles because my framerate took a major hit following this update anytime I'm entering / exiting the station hangars (moving from surface pad to underground garage) and when opening the mission boards

Sony is mainly to blame for that one, they have a rule which states that a game must be able to run VR smoothly on both the PS4 Pro and standard PS4 before it is allowed to utilise any kind of VR functionality; sadly Elite Dangerous was only capable of running the VR smoothly on the PS4 Pro, and not the standard PS4. only way Elite Dangerous will get VR on the PS4 is if Sony suddenly changes their rules regarding VR requirements, or if Frontier find a way to magically get it running smoothly on both versions of the PS4 (preferably without reducing the graphical quality)
Still no PSVR love, eh?
