ps4 controller suggestion needed

hail commanders,

anyone has an advice for this oldfag about a new ps4 controller? I mean should I stick with the basic Sony one or should I purchase something more specific for gaming purpose? I know there are some other producers out there but I have simply no clue.

I wanted to give me a different and more professional control method for E.D.

You should be fine with the standard DS4 controller, but personally I prefer using a HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) as it makes flying so much more 'realistic' for me. There's only one that works, the T-Flight HOTAS 4, but it's cheap and fairly tough (I have two, the newer HOTAS 4, and the older HOTAS X which I've used on my PC for the last two years, pretty good for my "cheap hotas to tide me over while I see if I'll like it"<g>)

the "professional" controllers are just the same as the base unit, as in same buttons and touch screen etc.

Some of the professional controllers are not wireless so they have a 2m cable that you hav to plug into PS4 to utilise.

I don't think upgrading to a professional will improve your control.

You may want to consider the PS4 Thrustmaster HOTAS a this will give you a better flight control experience.

Very good, I will evaluate the HOTAS then. I need to fix the main problem with this kind of controller anyway, since I play on my carpet and the HOTAS needs a DESK at a correct height to be useful.

PS4 controller is good. Give it a chance, I was able to dock faster than blokes with hotas.
