Distant Worlds II Event PS4 Mining Operations

Just as a warning: outfitting is confirmed, not a shipyard. So module transport will work, but not necessarily a ship transfer.

To quote Dr. Kaii from Discord:
Hi All. I just want to let you know that I have got an all-but confirmation that there will be Outfitting available at the core station we are building from the get-go, along with all mining gear! So basically this means that, pending an unforeseen technical difficulty which I will obviously do my best to rule out by the time we launch (very unlikely there will be one!), you don't need to lug any mining gear to the core after CG1 is over!

I just want to let you all know as soon as possible so you can plan accordingly. Again, this is not 100% confirmed, but I would say it is 98%

Note, I don't have any information about there being a shipyard too, so I would assume not.

Thanks for that. I'll strip the Python for the parts and leave them in my module storage and ship them over. Glad I went for utility over pure jump range now =]

Hi I've just sign up for DW2 mining, this my build at the mo, just worried about lack of AFMU

I'm not taking an AMFU either, and as long as you're careful, you should be ok. Just take things easy, zero your throttle if the next star to jump to is a white dwarf or neutron; don't use the neutron highway; enter atmosphere's at 50%.

The organisers have said that the first and second waypoints are likely to have Outfitting, so I've stored a bunch of mining stuff to transfer, While flying in my main build.
I've also stored different sizes of AMFU should I decide I really should take one.

EDIT: ZippyJohn, I can see your application to join the squadron, but your details haven't come thru from the sign-up doc yet. You'll be added once they do :)

Thanks for the squardron accept Stinja, that’s great about sending modules over, I’m going to take my ship with a guardian FSD (just collecting the last few mats now) and the AFMU just in case then just get my limpets controllers mailed out at the way point outfitters. Cheers mate
