PS4 Powerplay

I see most of that as end game content. I will be grinding credits in the basic things for quite some time for bigger ships. Bounty hunting, exploring, and trading with some mining for trading also. Also want to visit Sol system and will need the permit to do so.

I am not too familiar with the Powerplay elements and need to read up on it, but if its a big part of the game then no doubt at some point I will give it a crack.

Probably not because I'm more of a free range type of person but it is an interesting aspect of the game and I wouldn't entirely rule it out.

hey i like the idea of free range sidewinders bumping in to everything finding there wings, might just spend day one just watching new pilots bouncing around like headless chickens would be hilarious

I am sure there are others who post about the positive - if anyone wants to add a balanced opinion piece. I like the idea...the delivery doesn't seem to be without some issues. One has to remember that certain systems(Sol) and ships(Cutter and Clipper) are locked to Powerplay factions so you might 'have' to do a little something if want access to these things. I don't know - i guess i will have to see when we finally get ED on PS4 for me to try - the rate of reputation decay seems to be an issue and I don't know if i have enough time to make the most of it...that's my only concern.

to be honest i would of liked more independent powers, i seem to recall only one of the powers are independent at the current time

I do have a question about Powerplay. If I align with a power / faction, does that make me instant target-practice once I leave systems under their jurisdiction? If so, then I can see saving this for later game.

That said, I thought I read someone whose Imperial getting a permit to visit SOL.... Any clarification is welcome!

By instant target you mean by other Powerplay factions - No.
