Ps4

I have talked to a lot of people about this game but none of them have a pc and they do not want to shell out the cash to buy a pc or to build one and they are gamers, and for the people that claim ps4 and xbox one is not a gaming machine you need your facts rewired, now do you guys plan on making a move with planet coaster to consoles there is a missing revenue that could be in the millions if it was ported the ps2 had games that was in roller coaster forum.
Jurassic world evolution was able to go there for consoles why cant planet coaster.

and before anyone says a comment about consoles cant handle it citie skyline is also very heavy in need of cpu and ram and it is on both the xbox one and ps4 and maybe just maybe planet coaster will run better because you could not use steam workshop items. ps4 does not support mods but xbox does. so what ever you are going to build would have to be in the game already. I typed in ps4 in the search bar and nothing came up so I decided to post.

I think this really is one of the main answer though... Notwithstanding how poorly I think the controls would translate over to that of a controller-based system. I'm of this opinion that there doesn't yet exist a computer strong enough in the world to run this game above 60 fps in a LARGE park, I can only assume that if you got more than a couple rides deep into a park on a console you'd pretty quickly have a pretty large puddle of plastic sat on your shelf as they would just melt away [haha].

I also think a more honest answer is that the types of gamers who play games like this almost always approach the genre on PC and very rarely do on console. JWE is a game that was very clearly built consoles in mind - even on PC you can see this in the menu's of the game and (dont take this the wrong way) a lack of depth that JWE has in its systems opposed to Planco. I don't think the two games could even begin to be comparable between portability unless JWE was in a state where it also had identical building systems in regards to complexity scenery and building - it doesn't and most things in that game are prefab for good reason (the focus is on the dinos, not on the incredible amounts of immersion and world building you can achieve in Planco.

What Zakman said. Planco's controls/menus was not built with consoles in mind. It would be horrible using a controller on this game.

I can assure you consoles would definitely not be able to run this game. You cannot compare it to Cities Skylines because they are both completely different games. Planet Coaster needs a good CPU for calculating the many things in game, like the guest brain. You can have thousands of guests in one park which is extremely taxing even for high end PCs. Console CPUs do not have enough power for things like this, so the game would have to be revamped completely to ever be on Xbox or Playstation.

Not to mention the developers have said countless times that Planet Coaster will not be coming to console. So please stop asking [happy]

^ what Zakman and TheWetDolphin said.

Frontier has no plans to develop Planet Coaster for PS4 and/or Xbox One. The game wouldn't be able to run on these consoles and Frontier doesn't want to remove key elements of the game that make Planet Coaster 'Planet Coaster'. :)

Consoles are more limited than computers. There are/were coaster games for consoles but they generally aren't as good. Like Theme Park, Thrillville, and others. I think Atari is releasing more coaster games on consoles, including a new RCT.

You've searched for Ps4 , and said you've found nothing, I assure you contrary. We've covered this topic so many times on this fourm. I'll start with where I agree with you:
1.) Consoles do have a much larger install base. Therefore there is a potential for higher profit margins.
2.) Cities Skylines did get ported to consoles. I can't comment further then that, I haven't tried it.
3.) There were several "RCT"-Esqe games on consoles. Thrillville, Zoo Tycoon, JWE even the recent Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures on Switch.

Now on to everything else:
1.) There is a CLEAR technical disparity between console hardware and computer hardware. This partially explains why the costs are higher with PCs.
2.) Planet Coasters game mechanics are far to resource intensive to support a playable, fun Planet Coaster experience.
3.) Lack of steam workshop content won't fix those problems.

Yes other games have made management simulations work on consoles. Those games have always been made to work with compromises. There are some differences past that custom mods or content. Controls, amount of items on scream, overall game play experience. These can drastically differ the experience. The best games for this are games built from the ground up for consoles. JWE & Thrillvile (Both Frontier games ) were built from the ground up with consoles in mind. Which is why they work and also why people have previously said they are far less complex and taxing experiences. Planet Coaster was not designed with consoles in mind.

Rather then coming to fourms like this and making the" but you totally can make it work" mantra, I'd suggest spending that energy researching pc, parts or whole computers you can possible purchase in the future. I'd never suggest spending an exorbitant amount of money for a single game. But if you can justify the purchase saying there are several games you'd like to play maybe it can be worth it.

Otherwise as you said they are several other management titles available on console. Go enjoy those.

Hi

As you're talking about "Consoles" , I'd like to ask to the " consoles - specialists " (if it hasn't already been said ) :

What would be the best joystick to be able to move easily in Planet coaster , cause I don't have a great fingers - ability to use the keyboard-keys .
I have an Xbox one gamepad, but I can't configure it and the explanations in Steam are very complicated.
So , if somebody could explain about the Xbox one , that would be fine !
Thanks
