Ps5 - Feel like smashing it.

I am sure it could be user error as I am quite new to the game, but my blood pressure can't take much more.
Hoping somebody can tell me what I am doing wrong or what I am missing. PS5 + Controller.

I am constantly fighting with the camera, why is verticality square button!!

Main issue... I try and place an object or building down... click... the dam building follows the camera, so when i move it to see the building better it goes underground,
So i try and use the zoom buttons.. now its in my face.. i get myself back over ground... now building is floating in space... I know i will put the grid on, that might solve it..
now after 10 mins of fighting the camera... i spend 5 mins up and down... guessing where the floor is.. a nice big yellow square yes that looks right... click....

spends 5 mins trying to get the camera to floor level so i can look... building is 1ft off the floor.

so click... move.... i pull back to see better... building comes with me. controller on floor, doors in house slammed.

. . . breath ... let motion sickness pass as well. try again... 15 mins in the tutorial trying to get the dam staff building to connect....
So turned here to the forum, its become so frustrating, not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help?

If the camera and controls are the same in Planet Coaster 2 on ps5 I will have to cancel my preorder

Any help or advice very much appreciated, I bought the delux edition because the game looks awesome.

I do not understand why everything on the PS5 (console generally?) sinks into the ground so readily. This doesn't happen on the PC version. But I end up fighting the controller too much as well. The forcing into heatmap for utility buildings is an annoyance on PC, but a dealbreaker on PS - the reason my generator ended up 30 ft undeground is because I couldn't see to place it because the whole screen turned blue! Let me adjust just the height without the area of effect on - I already have it placed to cover things, I just want it at ground level! I need to figure out someway to try my keyboard and mouse, but the point of the game console is to play on my TV, which means I don't have a handy desk to rest them on, and the mouse doesn't really work in my lap.

I had hoped the controls would be functional enough to build, so that I could enjoy looking at my zoos on the big screen, but I end up with the shoddiest looking things: utilities sunk into ground or floating in air; pieces that are lined up from one angle but not touching from another because I can't rotate the camera without also moving the piece I'm trying to place; the camera suddenly zooming halfway across the zoo so I can hardly see trhe building I'm working on, never mind the bit of trim I'm trying to precisely place.

Not much help, but you're not alone. And while I'm no great builder on PC, it's a lack on talent/ideas, not because I'm constantly fighting the controls to line things up or get them to sit at ground level.

I regularly have the same issue. Especially if you’re moving a scenery group. You’ll try to move it down slightly to meet the ground and next thing you know it’s 3 meters underground. It’s extremely irritating.
