o7 Commanders,
I've been doing the less than enthralling Jameson grind to build up some grade 5 data mats and twice now, when exchanging I've received an message about the trade being cancelled as the server cannot be reached. Mission board and everything loads absolutely fine but the trader refuses to exchange materials. When relogging the game however, the materials I tried to trade had disappeared but no materials were exchanged in return. Basically, the material trader has stolen 96 grade 5 materials off me twice now, leaving me with nothing but another tedious journey to Jameson crash site to replace them. I know the Jameson site fills you up pretty quickly but add in journey time to and from the mat trader and it's a rather frustrating waste of time (it isn't called a grind because it's entertaining after all).
I've logged the issue but I'm not sure how best to avoid it, possibly logging off and on before opening the material trader. Alternatively, do a small trade first to check the server is connecting ok before doing a bulk trade. If the relog is the issue, potentially undocking first might update your materials inventory after the cancelled trade. Anyway, hopefully it's a rare glitch and as few commanders as possible experience it but wanted to give you a heads up that it's happening.
