Because when the Cage is damaged, the pterosaurs simply rise to the top of the map and disappear?
"It wouldn't make sense for the pterosaurs to fly around"
Of course it would, the terrestrial dinosaurs obey the natural barriers of the island and the game, the peterosaurs would do the same.
"But how are we going to get them back to the aviary?"
Replacement in the aviary would be helicopter work, after sedation, would be transported to the aviary.
The cage would have an automatic gate for the transport helicopters to replace the Peterosaurus. (The gate can be opened manually by the player)
"But at DLC Return to Jurassic Park there is no helicopter"
There are only two options for this.
Or the ground crew would have to have precision Mega Rifles.
Or the fugitive pterosaurs fly around the map until the player pays a fee to put them back in the cage.
Have you ever thought how cool it would be? Seeing the pterosaurs hunting small dinosaurs, landing on scenery or buildings, striking terror in the parks would make the peterosaurs 100% cooler !!!!!
