I know how the thing works, but I can't remember if you can assign a hotkey. Is it the same key as the shutdown field neutraliser? I have it at the back of my mind from last time I played that it is, but my memory plays tricks on me.
No, that's why I'm asking.Have you checked in game?
So you want someone else to test it and report back to you? I’ll get right on it.No, that's why I'm asking.
That is correct. It is a modification of the equivalent scanner used for core mining. (Both practically and per in-game lore.) You set it to a fire group and then use a fire button, in analysis mode, to activate it.I’m fairly certain you have to assign it to a trigger group, as with any other active scanner.
Thank you. That's really helpful. I forgot that it works in analysis mode. That makes things much easier. That is correct. It is a modification of the equivalent scanner used for core mining. It also functions as a normal xeno scanner, and you can bind that as well. (For example, to scan interceptors and make hearts targetable.) Unfortunately, it is only a xeno scanner, not an enhanced xeno scanner, so that is not a particularly useful feature. The reason I am mentioning this is because you'll see both functions available to bind to a fire group, and it is important to keep them straight.
