Purchased Odessey through Epic Games, how do we access it?

Greetings,

I purchased the expansion via the epic game store since i had horizons already through epic. I enabled the DLC in Epic and it downloaded and installed it. When I click play however it still only shows Horizons, no sign at all of Odyssey. Does anyone know how to fix this yet?

You could maybe try "Check for Game Updates" in the Options dropdown, that might trigger the version check; or just exit the Launcher and reopen it.

The servers are pretty much borked at the moment, so you might not be able to play tonight anyway.

I did try that a few times, do you think that is the issue? that it isn't triggering the overall version check?

I purchased Odyssey through Steam and installed a 50GB update, whatever that was. Same problem. The only evidence I have it is by looking through Steam Support purchases. No sign of it anywhere else.

Can't say for certain. I only know Odyssey was showing up sporadically at different times for different users. For me, it just appeared once I quit and relaunched the Launcher. The servers being in trouble at the moment could perhaps also be causing issues authenticating for the downloads, not sure.

It's certainly frustrating. I wish it would just show up already lol. I can't take living in suspense like this. I got a galaxy to rule and credits to earn.

Same issue, in the install directory under products Odyssey is installed, you can even start it with the exec and see the startup screen untill it scolds you for not using the launcher. My launcher is dated 4/21/2021 so I am wondering if they did not push out a new launcher that they should have?

I Appreciate the attempted help commander. At this point I will try a fresh install of whole game + addon to see if it prompts it to dl new launcher.

** edit ** Nevermind i just realized the base game is on sale on steam for 8$, I refunded the epic games purchase and am purchasing it on Steam instead. All the hassle has really turned me off of the epic launcher for now.

Just curious, but when did you buy the game from epic? I got it yesterday and it seems Frontier does not know I purchased it.

Log out of the ED launcher and close it. Close the epic launcher. Open epic launcher and launch ED from there and you will automatically be logged into the ED launcher and Odyssey will show in the list

Same bird, different feather. Frontier store account that is linked to Epic shows me as having preordered Odyssey. Epic launcher shows Odyssey but "Install" is greyed out and can't install. Oh well, guess I'll try tomorrow. Running just fine with FDev stand alone launcher.

That issue has been posted other threads, just press enter it wont respond to a click supposedly.

FIXED MY OWN ISSUE (on Steam) - seemed to me like a disconnect between steam record of what DLC's I own and what the game recognized from my Frontier account. I used the 'Link Account' option after logging out of game launcher to re-link Froniter account to steam account. Hope that helps everyone else

I will buy that explanation, however for epic it appears they expect Frontier to know that we paid them and its our job to prove it to them. I guess their apple lawsuit is getting kinda expensive lol
