Purple Central Industries -Syndicate™ of Pand

With the overthrow of the previous leader, and the introduction of new leadership, it is time to start a new thread for Purple Central Industries of Pand.

Purple Central Industries - Syndicate™ is a group dedicated to testing the background sim, and as a by-product, increasing the influence of PCI of Pand in the outreaches of the civilised systems.

PCI-S™ is based in Pand, an extraction economy system, slowly expanding to try and bring peace, trade and wealth to the people of other like minded star systems.

Pand is 208Ly from Sol, has 6 water world planets that are terraforming candidates, and we have 12 planets total, with 2 outposts orbiting mineral rich planets - Raliegh Point and Sarmiento de Gomboa Port.

We have over 95% influence in Pand, have recently expanded into Orokudumbla, where we have reached 75% influence, and are looking to soon push the controlling pirate faction out.

We are the last stop on the way to Sagittarius A*, and hope to develop our outposts into full fledged stations, with high tech facilities to allow explorers to use our stations to purchase, upgrade and repair their spacecraft.

This is a long term vision. It's hard here, profits are not that great, though they do exist. The rewards, however, are potentially huge. If we can achieve our goals, we may have our very own corporate power at the edge of civilisation, being a small system, every single man, woman, and their ship make a difference. We currently only have outposts, and thus medium sized ships are the largest we can accommodate, but with work, effort, and time (and a bucket load of fun!), we can help build something to be proud of.

We are looking for:

Explorers - please consider donating some, or all of your exploration data to us, here, at Pand. Especially those of you flying out to Sagittarius A* and beyond - selling your data at Pand reduces your risks of interdiction, and potential destruction as you enter civilised space. We all know there are bad guys out there just aching to destroy your ship because, well, they can. The sooner you sell that data, the less the risk of loss!

Traders - Short and long term welcome. Everything helps! We have gold, silver palladium, and plenty of other minerals and metals that can earn profits. We are seeking all foods, and anything related to mining extraction, medicines, occasionally weapons, and also rares to help boost our wealth. We are a long way from almost all other Rares selling stations, and thus, your rares will be worth their maximum value here - we are growing, we want your rares!

There are even rumours of a newly discovered item from the underwater rivers in the mines of Pand, found nowhere else - the new board of PCI-S™ have not yet seen hard evidence of this, but the rumours continue, those that are said to have found examples are not letting go of their prize...

Bounty hunters - We have plenty of pirates, and the best way to bring peace is to eradicate the pirates that disrupt trade vessels flying into and out of PCI-S™ controlled systems.

Pirates - because, well, sometimes, you have to fight fire with fire. We have several pirate controlled systems nearby, and to bring peace, trade and wealth, we may need to disrupt their trade, from time to time, and we will authorise those that swear to not harm PCI vessels to pirate apposing factions freely in systems we are looking to control.

Miners - there is an abundance of mineral extractions sites, asteroid fields, and the potential for big profits in nearby systems - we hope you will consider Pand for selling your minerals and metals, it would be our honour to compensate you fairly for your efforts.

Finally - to find Pand on the galaxy map, make sure you click search twice, the first search result is Pandamonium, the second will be Pand.

We also, at this time, would like to thank those that have helped us to get where we are.

Thank you for considering us for some of your activities, we appreciate all the the help we can get, and welcome to Pand!

Still somewhat under construction. Hop on!

Now, for a word from our Marketing Director:
CMDR Auran Tancredo said:
Greetings commanders!

My name is Auran Tancredo, Marketing Director for PCI

Are you thirsty? Thirsty for Adventure? You’ve probably seen our marketing campaign for Pandian Water products featuring the slogan, “Is the Purple in You?”, and if you’re lucky you’ve had the opportunity to experience the wonderful refreshment that comes in those distinctive Purple bottles!

Finally, Purple Central Industries (PCI) is looking for a few good men and women to join our team and assist with our expansion out of the Pand system! We have just recently facilitated the semi-peaceful relocation of pre-existing factions in Orokudumbla, allowing for the construction of new manufacturing and distribution facilities. The recent lifting of Federation and Empire bans on Pandian Water products has created tremendous opportunities for growth as markets that are literally ‘thirsty’ for our products have the opportunity to purchase Pandian Water products for the first time in over a hundred years! Our syndicate requires the assistance of individuals with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for adventure as we acquire and secure the resources necessary to establish and supply chains for the distribution of our Pandian Water products ™ to markets literally begging for refreshment!

We have much to offer the adventure minded commander:

• All the Pandian Water products you can drink!

• Generous opportunities to assist in the ‘relocation’ of other factions in systems bordering existing PCI systems!

• All the Pandian Water products you can drink!

• Mineral extraction opportunities in nearby systems to provide raw materials for construction of our facilities!

• All the Pandian Water products you can drink!

• Bounty collection (Accounts Receivable) / asset protection opportunities!

• All the Pandian Water products you can drink!

• The camaraderie of many other commanders who share a common vision and take a personal interest in your success!

• All the Pandian Water products you can drink!

We are an independent corporate entity on the edge of settled space. We maintain profitable relationships with all major factions and welcome like-minded, independent commanders to become a part of our growing family!

Please see our corporate site at pci-syndicate.freeforums.net for an application, team speak channel links, additional information and historical backrground.

Is the Purple in you?

Hello Zeeman,

Reporting in here! New start offers new opportunities, so let's take them! I'm far out exploring now so it will take me quite some time to get back, but I'm starting my return trip now...

Hey Dielos - same here, currently 40k Ly+ from Pand, and still headed out Was unable play play whilst on my trip, as I couldn't download the update, it kept failing. Oh well, I'll be home tomorrow, so will have a good long play then.

On a side note, can anyone post an update on how we sit in terms of influence in both Pand and Orokudumbla?

I am interested in the bounty hunting part of your organization, do you have many others involved? I am looking for a decent group of active people. I am yet to start hunting human pirates as I am new and learning the ropes on the NPC's before I do. I am currently flying a viper worth about 500k in upgrades, it shouldn't be long until I max out all its modules.

Bounty hunting is certainly a part. We currently have a small group of regular participants, depending on your time zone, you may actually be on-line with quite anumber of them, and we are always willing to wing-up for trade and battle. You and your Viper would certainly be welcome here.

We currently have bounty hunting actions taking place in Orokudumbla and Pand, with good RES bounty hunting in nearby systems (HIP 88595/Clark Orbital for example). I'm currently on a trip to the far side of the galaxy, so one of the others would be better suited to fill you in on the groups efforts bounty hunting wise.

We have quite a diverse fleet - Python, Asp, Cobra, Vulture and Viper pilots to name just a few.

In terms of an update - it seems the damage cause by the coup is minimal - we are still holding 95% influence in Pand, and we are down to 56% in Orokudumbla - though, judging by how fast the group pushed us beyond 75%, we should reach at least 70% influence byt he weeks end - if not significantly more.

Just a quick hello to say Im still in pand. Hope to see anybody about wasn't sure if anybody stayed.

We're pretty much all still here, a couple of us are out exploring, but we are still active in Pand, in fact, I think we are actually going to be more active in game now.

Been mostly playing solo, have been thinking about hopping online with a group. Where can I find website/ts3 info?

The private PCI-S group forum is located here.

What a bummer - I have just completed an expedition to the four cardinal points of populated space on the Galactic Plane (x:0:x) and I found Pand to be the most northermost. My plan was (is) to purchase and store a Sidey in each location so that I could easily see where I was in the overall bubble of populated space. On my route I collected exploration data and Rares to help pay for the trip but on arrival at the Star I found that the stations had no shipyard facilities. So I went off elsewhere and took my rares and exploration data with me. Sorry.....

With today's update, PCI moves up 3 points to 59% influence in Orokudumbla. Standing orders still apply - do PCI missions from both stations, NPCs of all Orokudumbla factions kill on sight. Do not turn in bounties of Orokudumbla factions. The expansion cooldown should expire next weekend. We need to get back to 70% by then and that should trigger war.

We'd love to have you aboard but Pand is on the edge of inhabited space and a journey that far would be pretty brutal in a Viper, especially one not fully upgraded. I'd recommend a cobra if you're only going to operate one ship out here. You give up a small amount of maneuverability and shield strength but it's slightly faster and has way more power availability for shield cell banks and scanners. Jump range and fuel capacity are much better and of course there's room for cargo. I used a viper for a long time out here but I had a second ship for trade and exploring. If you are going to bring your viper out here, strip it down for max jump range (A grade FSD, smallest D grade everything else, no weapons or utilities, and the best fuel scoop you can afford) and make for the Montet system. It's the closest shipyard to Pand and Orokudumbla, we all keep our other ship there. It also happens to have an excellent outfitting selection. Our combat operations are focused on the Orokudumbla right now. This is an anarchy system so you must use a kill warrant scanner to get any bounties. Once the war starts there next week you won't need the scanner.

That's cool to know, we may use that to promote the place.

Hi, I'm a new player who is looking to play with other people. Normally people are very friendly and helpful but I haven't felt much of a great multi-player experience and i'm guessing its because I haven't reached out yet. My in game name is CMDR Kagemuro. I don't really know what I can do or what I want to do as of yet. Hopefully pairing up with a group will help me find that much quicker. I work well with others and have voice chat capabilities.

I can attest to this. Was about 30 LYS out when I ran out of fuel, without any scoops. Ended up having to self destruct and ate the insurance. Stripping out my cargo hold for a scoop next time..

How new? We'd love to have you, and I'm sure any of the guys would happily wing up and help you out, but getting out here may be a mission and a helf if you are still in a Sidey with no mods.

If you do make it, though, winging up for trade or bounty hunting may help you boost your earnings by fair margin. Though, as I side, it will be long and difficult to make it in an early stage ship.

You're welcome to add me in game, though.

I have been playing for about 3 days. I just wanted a little more information on how to actually get to where you guys are at. I haven't really upgraded my ship as of yet but if someone could tell me what I need and what I should have in order to get there I think I would do fine.
