Put the vulture in the garage, it were good times we had..

I too fly a dropship, it's like flying a solid block of heavy iron BUT a LOT of fun doing it. I'd be careful attacking another player piloted dropship especially if your used to killing only the NPC ones, it's a totally different ballgame believe it or not. Great video here of a good pilot who knows how to fly a dropship against other experienced players in many different ships. It's a true force to be reckoned with. ;-)

Now that is some slick FA off flying! Makes the drop ship seem godly.

I love(d) my dropship, but at the moment I've had to part company whilst I rake in some cash to replace the one I lost due to station defence taking a dislike to me.

Once I have enough to get some serious upgrades, I'll be back in the flying brick. I just wish they'd sort out the turret bug on it.

Nice aiming with the fixed guns, even fa off. Impressive

I got promoted to the rank of Ensign (and then Lieutenant) yesterday. The first thing I did was buy the Federal Dropship. It's not too bad of a ship to fly (it handles similar to the Imperial Clipper IMO). I still need to earn enough credits to fully upgrade it and give it a good weapons loadout. I really like flying it. :D

I've had a couple of these. It didn't take me long to work out how to fly it. Needless to say, don't crib from the Eagle handbook when you're doing flight manoeuvres. To the OP, I'm glad you're having fun with his little beast.

After but a few hours of gametime i noticed upp to C thrusters handling is with a delay, but with B thrusters this is becoming less of an issue. Noticeble when docking though, sideways landings through the letterbox is a standard trick to play now. In front of the docking port, boost, landinggear, FA off and wirlwind park 8*360 degrees around..this fatty has some good acrobatic skills...

But CMDR Stewart Scott, THX for the flying instructions, i tried FA off before with the vulture, viper, asp, and cobra, but never gotten around to be able to handle it like you. However i was turning in combat and did not get behind my target, so FA off. it turned better and faster, aim and target dead. FA on again when the target was in my sights. With FA off the big slugish ships seem to be more forgiving on the input then when flying a viper or vulture..

Anyway now equiped with 4x Class 2 Puls and 1 * Class 3 Burst Laser, way more power efficient, way longer on target time and faster kills than 5 beams :).
