PvBSR build advice, please.

Fast is good but over 800 is excessive, youre only hurting your flexibility at that speed.

Seldom little is going to keep up at 700 apart from other couriers and they arent all that commonly gankboats.
Worth taking into account that long range and focused weapons can keep up though...and at 200-300 m/s faster than your attacker you're going to get hit quite a bit before you jump....and with that iCourier build, that only has 200 hull strength, fixed long range, or even rapid fire, pulses with phasing sequence could be the builds downfall.

Matching tactics to the opposition is definitely important - a frag Mamba or similar that sort of ship can probably just boost out of effective weapons range before they've deployed hardpoints, while something with LR phasing it's more important to stay out of its forward arc while your FSD charges for high-wake, which can be done more easily up close (but not too close - a ram will really hurt)

I think my Imperial Courier has about 1600 raw shields, maybe 700 hull strength. This is where the "turn and pray Fortuna" part comes in, jousting. Two fixed cannons and a railgun, utility weapons. If that doesn't work, the kill is clearly deserved.

Thats what silent running and heatsinking is for, if they land enough hits to drop your shields you should instantly fire a heatsink and go silent, in a ship like that it'll only be a couple of boosts before you're out of range thus you won't even have to overheat yourself, no target, no microgimbal and most players arent talented enough to fire at those kind of ranges and hit consistently without it.

Sweet baby jeebus whats your top speeds? Sounds like a very heavy build you got there judging by those numbers.

Like I said in the op, this isn't a combat build. It's purely speed based. I can boost at 865 with 450 odd absolute shields.

If you can kill me, you deserve the win.

It is less than that :D
I don't fly in Imperial space very often, they'd look me weird for ruining an elegant ship. 10 ton shield booster sticking out of a small ship looks kinda grotesque I suppose. Still has nice acceleration though. I'll check out the specs later today.

384m/s, 521m/s. I thought I had a chaff, but apparently there are four shield boosters. 2 module reinforcements, 3 hull reinforcement packages, 1 guardian shield reinforcement package. Otherwise nice resistances, but low explosive resistance on hull. I'm not sure what I was going for with this build, I think some modules might be spare parts from other ships.
