Ships PVE CZ Ship

I am looking for ideas for an all round PVE ship for CZ's and would welcome some input.

All of the engineers are unlocked and my material bank is full so what would you all recommend?

I have access to all Federation and Alliance ships so any ship goes really.

Thanks

Depends what you are after, If you want to completely dominate then go for a Corvette. If you want to have fun and don't mind your ship screaming about being too hot a lot, get a Mamba, then you look cool as well as being pretty handy in a fight. FDL is also a good choice for fun. If you engineer the Mamba you can reduce the heat management issues and you have for me a really fun, fast and deadly ship to fly.

What kind of guns are you good with?

Also, do you have pacifiers unlocked?

On XB, For Chaining CZ a-la-long in a rather fast and cheap in regards with resynths, i use this Corvette.
The intitial intention was to replace the Fuel Scoop, GFSD and SCA with combat gear when arriving in the system in war, but i found it to be unnecessary

On PC, since i have better accuracy with kb/m, i use this Gunship. Nice flying model, but things can go South rather fast if the SpecOps get all over me.
Also heavy on resynths - so better to have a station/carrier nearby.
Or you can replace the Cannon with a long range fixed burst laser and change the experimentals on rails to plasma slugs. Careful with fuel tho :)

Then i took some parts from the Gunship to outfit this Krait mk2. Again, rails are running out rather fast, but changing the experimentals to plasma slugs solves it.
Tho i kinda hate the really slow yaw rate of the Krait compared with the Gunship's one.

Pretty much any engineered large or medium will do the job.

I usually do PvE combat in an Anaconda with a buncha fixed beam lasers+plasma slug PAs. If I put on an extra fuel tank, I can pretty much stay out there all day, and not worry about ammo or anything.

Lasers are popular for people worried about running out of ammo, but projectile weapons usually kill things faster. If you're not far from a station, it might be worth looking into multicannons or frags. Maybe even a mix of lasers+kinetic weapons.

Boy did your question open up a big can of worms. As you can see everyone has a favorite ship and opinions and arguments are as many as there are stars in the galaxy.
Theres more than enough ship configurations to do the job in a CZ. BUUUUT ship configuration depends solely on what a specific ships slots has to offer.

For example, an Anaconda has plenty of slots, big big gun slot availability. but it comes with a big downside, it doesn't turn (agile) very well. Turrets pretty much required for 360 or less degree of fire while you try and turn.
A krait mk 2 is more agile (medium), offers a nice amount of slots and hull tanks very nicely after you engineer (my personal choice of balance)
the lowest you can go,,,, the sidewinder, pretty quick (speed is more difficult to hit), and agile. Downside, Poor firepower, a couple of good hits and kaboom.

You have a great many bits of information to process to make your first choice. It will no doubt not be the last one.
Best wishes for your future success, Commander 07

So I went for an all Frag Krait and overcharged them all and boy oh boy is this thing evil. It annihilates everything it fires upon, including Cutters and Anacondas. Only drawback is the ammo refill but am loving the ship. One I have noticed is the bad drift from boost, a bit like the Cutter drifts but slowly getting used to it.
