PvP Pirating in a Hauler

I'm always cringing when I see videos of cutter pilots trying to fly it like a fighter.
Jesus.

Nice video though, good to see some real pirates out there.

You don't have to kill the ships to get their cargo. A beam laser with engineering could prob drop shields fast enough for a hatch breaker to be used if you want to try this legit.

I am astonished.

Astonished anyone that bad of a pilot could have made the rank to gain a Cutter. Nothing personal against the Commander there, but...

A shieldless hauler should have been a faint memory within the first 7-10 seconds of the encounter. Even with Reactive Surface composites fully G5'd, it should have been reduced to debris. One good ramming from a Cutter would maul a small craft like that.

All the hallmarks of a Quince Cutter thinking they are invincible.
'Watch me squash this innocuous Hauler with my mighty Cutter, oh ok on the next pass then, oh ok, hmmm, I'll be off now..'

Even still, they would still be required a certain amount of flight time, and the completion of a number of Imperial Navy missions, so they'd have to learn some piloting and I would think at least more than bare-basic combat skills... but what do I know? I worked for all my ships - all of them, Cutter and Corvette included.

And for all those ships, I've spent the last four days getting around in a rather basic Federal Dropship.... go figure.

I had fun the other day attempting to get that hauler of yours in my conda! But Punished Mobius chased me off. :( Till next time!

Oh yes. That was fun. You had my power plant down to 14% with (I assume) a rail shot so I didn't expect to last much longer. I think I have the vid laying around somewhere. If I can find it I'll post it to my channel.

Just wanted to try something different. Interesting battle with a cutter near the end.

See, this is the sort of thing I'd happily try with an alt. We need additional CMDR slots, even just 1 or 2 more, so more us can try such things without 'corrupting' our main. No, I refuse to buy another account for something I'd only do part time on a whim, but if I had even just one alt, I'd try things like piracy and PvP more.....

Why would you need an alt account?

Having faced elite PVPers in small ships now, I wouldn't be so sure of that. An elite pilot in a small fast ship can cause real problems. It's totally different from facing PVE, as they switch on and off silent running, boost in circles and make use of lateral thrusters at the same time while spitting reverb mines at you....it's a pain.

Definitely is making me a better pilot though. Fighting good players makes you better.
