PVP please don;t take it away.

In regard to PvE and PvP. This game has the same setup as those like Dayz. They create a dangerous world where you can run into players all the time. Some will help you, some won't. That's what makes these MMOs so appealing. The danger, the unknown and the friends you can make. It makes the world feel alive.

I personally am looking forward to hanging round stations to offer defense for traders as they make their runs. I hope something will be put in place so that people can trust me and not just think I'm going to turn on them in deep space. Maybe some sort of deposit so if you go against your agreement you loose out.

Please don't take away PVP. If there must be a different server for PVP and single player they should have different characters / saves. You can't really go into 1 player to get the best gun THEN go to PVP to kill everyone. In the same vein, in Dayz there was something called ghosting. This is where someone would log onto a different server to get a better placement on the map, or gain themselves a gun. They would then return to the original server to use the advantage to take out the other player.

In the beta, if I see another player on the enemies side I usually run as they've normally got a better ship and I'm still practicing. My point is I AM 1 of the people getting owned by other players but to take away this whole aspect is crazy. I hope they find a balance to make everyone happy and keep the server saves separate from one another.

I also LOVE watching people fly into the spaceport on their way out or in...Don't take that away from me :)

Who said FD would remove PVP?

It's how they want the game to be, free roaming, anything can happen, you against the galaxy. If someone doesn't like PVP then they can leave the "everyone" group and only ever see NPC's.

I liked how the security rating is done in EVE Online. It was easy to see who is friendly and who isn't.
Hopefully Elite will have some similar system in place to separate the bounty hunters from the pirates.

I've not read anything official but I've seen a few posts around here by people getting frustrated because they keep getting killed and talking about the single player side etc.

Also with the whole "should players be noticeable on the scanner" talk, it's all relative. I just wanted to voice my opinion that the online MMO side of things is defiantly what drew me in. I'm more of a Co - Op kinda guy but to take away the danger all together would not be good.

Can't find the music thread so I'll say it here, but playing with the Blade Runner OST is a great experience!

They should split it out. Look who has time to compete with someone who spends 18 hrs a day practicing when you have a job/mortgage/life you simply cant so its gonna be extremely annoying.

Which is inpatient beta testers who aren't happy being jumped on, or those who stated from the very beginning that they'll play ED in single player (offline or online modes).

I don't see why FD would listen to a small handful of people who don't want PVP when they already have a plan that'll allow them to do so should they chose to.

Not sure it was worth a thread though :p
