Python is the only ship that can....

Deliver 180 ton Cargo missions to Outposts.

I should know this already but was surprised that this is the case after playing around on Coriolis.
I wanted to build a cheap deathtrap ship or a hull tank cargo ship but even the Dropship can only carry 156 tons.

How about a decommissioned non-military Dropship with no military compartments.

We could do with some competition for the Python for Outpost deliveries.

My Python freighter manages 200 tons, and enough firepower to drop an Anaconda.

If I didn't have so much time in my pythons (yes, plural), I'd fly them more often. But they're kind of like training wheels.. once you take them off, you really don't want to put them back on again.

292 cargo baby!
Don't need shields to land lol 😂😂😂
No weapons either stripped to the bones
49LY jump range empty
Speed running palladium 120s x8m each
...do it Tucker

After switching to a T9 to do wing missions with mates i have to say i do have a tinge of regret having sold the Python to fund the T9 and a Corvette.....

Those medium pad missions are great and with a decent jump range i liked doing the 200ly or less passenger missions in it. When you need a quick 10mil or so. Saw some awesome sites and its a decent cruiser.

However,i will say i really disliked combat in it,just meh, have to work hard for it to feel good. When the FAS and Chieftan are so cheap just buy one of them for combat instead.

All in all a great ship for me

In other news, an overfull overconfident Python Pilot pancaked into the dirt this morning attempting to land on our 1.3gs home.

The Scavanger-Conda who has visited in the past chuckled over the open comms and diverted after takeoff to pick the fresh remains clean of the cargo scattered across the landscape. It is our hope this Conda pilot can recover the vital cargo necessary to survive our current famine state.

Film at 11.

haha yeah hi gravs are tricky but no problem!

Recently spent a lot of time bgsing in a system with a 2g and a 3g. Got lots of practice XD

I mean. This is just one python anyway. The ship is just too good to not have many.

I've got 9 variants. How about you guys? Do you build python variants?

Orca should be a medium pad ship. It fits dimension wise. And can carry 180 tons.

Then I could do Outpost Cargo Missions with style and speed.

Black Friday Orca best looking ship in the game.

And these have been paying between 7-10 million per run in 3.0.

Needless to say, my Python has been getting a lot of use lately. :) Considering each run in my home sector takes about 5 minutes from A to B.

Deliver 180 ton Cargo missions to Outposts...

Try a 264 cargo Python with mild engineering and player who knows how to fly and evade the bad guys. I'm always changing it around per the current missions from Trader to Combat to Explorer in a moment's notice. Don't tell anyone on the Forum how awesome this ship is!

The Python is awesome for doing BGS work in fringe systems that only have outposts. For large money making 1 hop freight missions there are much better options going to large pads, also much much better if you are in a large freighter with 700+ tone capacity.

You are looking at around 7-8 million per 180 tonnes of gold, plus around 4 million for just 50 tonnes of alloys. Can easily make 30-40 million for a single jump 4LY's in a Cutter or T9. Has been in game for a long time now.

The Orca is 42 meter or nearly 50% longer than the Python, can it really fit on a medium pad?

Dimensions in meters

Orca
130.4 Metres Length
50.8 Metres Width
22.7 Metres Height

Python
87.9 Metres Length
58.1 Metres Width
18.0 Metres Height

The Orca can fit on a medium pad, the T7's restriction is due to it's height (25.4M)
