Python Jump Range

Guys, what's going on here, I have a python built out currently for passenger missions. Coriolis is showing the jump range as 151LY but in game I'm only seeing 21.94.

Why is my jump range so short? (FSD is engineered to L4)

Ah thank you, I needed to put my glasses on...

Apart from engineering the FSD to L5, and maybe shaving a few more tons from the heat sinks, I don't think there's much more I can do here for an individual jump range right?

You could switch a bunch of things to D-rated - thrusters, PD, sensors, life support, and put in the smallest A-rated power plant that meets the ship's power needs.

FSD booster worthwhile, plus D rate, smaller PP. Also you don't need heatsinks as you have no fuel scoop (though you should really probably have a fuel scoop, but for short PAX you can skip - I'd at least put an emergency 3B (or even 2B) fuel scoop in, just in case)

For some weird reason FDEV chose to name their gurt big Imperial ship after a small type of sailing vessel (Cutter). Whereas the larger sailing ship name (Clipper) was used for the much smaller Imperial vessel. It is really jarring to an ex-naval man. shiver me timbers and scratch the backstay ;)

There's not.

Size 5 is available from Tech Brokers (though remember it's 2-4x the cost of a standard engineered G5 FSD for only a few percent more range! Check if it will actually shave a jump off your regular routes before getting it; unless you regularly get attacked by FSD Reboot effects it's possible that you won't notice the difference just hopping around the bubble)
Sizes 3, 4 and 6 were offered as one-off CG rewards a while back. You can't get those currently.
Sizes 2 and 7 have never been offered.

OP: If you're just after credits there is a CG this week giving 150k/T profit for Tritium (don't bother to sign up for the CG as bought Tritium won't count, but you get the profits). I'm guessing that will be faster than pax missions (and a bit less boring).

That's so thoughtabulous of you to share that fact. Yes, I am indeed just a credit e right now, could you share the CG thread please? I suppose I'll also need to read up on Tritium as well so I know what the ens I need to do.

Just go buy the Tritium somewhere close to the CG. Should be loads around.
