Python Jump Range

Remember if you don’t mine the goods yourself they won’t count for the CG so if you steal or buy them you shouldn’t be causing the CG and it’s prices to end early even if you do sign up.

Just go buy the Tritium somewhere close to the CG. Should be loads around.

And I just read aRJay's post as I was replying to this, so I can buy Tritium and take it to Curbeam Hub and win on the margin? I think it would make sense to sell my anaconda then and go get the Cutter to do this as a trading job. (Right?) Or should I not sign up, but kit out the cutter for mining? Apols I'm not able to cost the various options as I don't know what's possible/best (I refer you to Exhibit A: Noob. We'll a re-noob I should say)/

About 4 runs in a cargo conda should get you enough to buy a basic cutter. I wouldn't bother selling the conda, but up to you!

Edit: Don't mine. a 10 ly jump to buy Tritium is 'somewhat faster' than mining a conda full.

Guys, what's going on here, I have a python built out currently for passenger missions. Coriolis is showing the jump range as 151LY but in game I'm only seeing 21.94.

Why is my jump range so short? (FSD is engineered to L4)

Any ideas please?

My Robigo runner is using this build
2 jumps out, 2 jumps back in - 6 trips per hour, about 100+ millions for the first hour

However, as been pointed out - the current CG can net like 120 millions credits per trip - if using a 784t Cutter to ferry the said tritium - which can probably net at least 600 millions credits per hour (using a lightweight Cutter build)

The module reward is for mining, so lots of CMDRs will be using this CG to make money only. Net profit of 150k/ton ish is not too bad.

Use your 'conda to buy and haul Trit - you will make a goodly sum in a leisurely manner - mining it for profit is soul-destroying, the mining yield I find is never very good.

I personally would never consider using a Cutter for mining - for a start it is huge and unwieldy and for second the fact it is huge means you spend hours mining to fill up your enormous hold. I much prefer to use a Python for mining - still a goodly capacity but you need not spend hours to fill up plus it is more manoeuvrable (and you can sell into medium-pad locations).

Each to their own of course.

Eh, if I'm playing in Solo cuddling my teddy bear, do I need a shield on the cutter? If so what's the minimum size I can get away with.
If you're confident at your ability to avoid NPC interdictions (or, considering it's a cutter, boost+low-wake if you don't mind the potential for chain interdictions) and dock without scraping too much paintwork, none needed.

Otherwise the smallest size the Cutter can take is a size 6, and a standard 6A should provide plenty of room for error even without shield boosters added.

Ah thank you, I needed to put my glasses on...

Apart from engineering the FSD to L5, and maybe shaving a few more tons from the heat sinks, I don't think there's much more I can do here for an individual jump range right?
Try and unlock the FSD boosters if you havent already.
Dont max out passengers on the Robby run its a waste of time, i have over 8K missions done at Robby its a scource over the years for materials.
Add a small shield, you will get bored and smack that beacon, or get the occasional interdiction if your not fast enough on the mini game.
An ADC is actually faster as you can launch whilst selecting your bookmark and those small cabins will make a pitiful extra amount compared to the QOL.

Robby runs can be boring, just make your life easy and dont worry about min/max.

Distances:
Robigo to Wredguia TH-U = 34.5LY Wredguia to Sothis = 25.6LY

Nope, no shield needed.
Just make sure you win all interdictions if they happen far from the destination or submit/boost/low-wake if they happen near the destination station.
With a 450+ boost speed, no npc can catch up with you. So submitting is really safe if you dont fool around

My lightweight Cutter Hauler - 784t cargo, 40ly jump empty, 25 fully laden (130ly total range laden).

Alternatively, you can fit a size 4 FSD booster instead of a size 4 cargo rack - ending with 768t cargo, 50ly jump range empty, 35ly jump range fully laden (187 ly total range laden).
Basically with the alternate longer range build you can haul stuff from like 100 ly distance in 2 jump out empty and 3 jumps back in while fully laden - getting about 10-12 minutes per round-trip
