Python VS Anaconda Mechanics and Economic [ NEED HELP ]

That loadout is crap. Try again.

If you say so you know very little about building ships. This build is very good, only part I would argue is A Drive as not only top speed counts but agility is more important. I'm not talking about weapons. Modules selection is spot on. In fact most of my combat ships are arranged this way.

Wading in here in the D camp, if your a peerless combat pilot you'll really get the juice out of the A thrusters but for everyone else chances are you don't even use directional thrusters and the things slower than anything its fighting already. For combat i'd run the suggested setup with a few changes, D everything other than specified, A power distributor more recharge/storage = more pewpew, A shield if you can afford, D will be substantially cheaper.

Obviously A > D but you probably won't notice a vast majority of the upgrades.

Also If i had to bet on somebody, the guy who worked his way from D > A in his combat conda would come way way above somebody who bought an A straight out.

Well I dont have the luxury starting out with a bunch of D level items lol I'm in a race for time, trade routes are being nerfed, luxuries being nerfed, all this does is create a bigger void between those that have larger ships and those that don't. So for anyone who wants them this is the time to grind them out. From what Kahn posted I need the cost of the ship and 100,000,000 to build his ship per the image he posted, I have more than that invested in my Python

Your better off fighting in a python than an anaconda :p there you go I've saved you 100mil!

I would agree with you if the Python was not getting nerfed hard.

As it is, An A grade python can be defeated by a D Anaconda with a little bit of luck (Opponent who is not experienced fighting player condas) and a well placed ram to knock off the shields wile keeping your own up.

The build is not only an answer to that, but a upgrade in some regards as well for about the same price. If the A grade thrusters where better then what they currently are, then I would also recommend those as well, however as it is you go from boosting at 250 to 270 for 50 million, and since you are reversing most the time when fighting other players.. Well the boost doesnt give that much out of it.

What the boost does have over the Python is that it lasts over 5 seconds.

Between the Python and Conda, one is an offensive craft, where your goal is to find and kill opponents before they get into a dog fight with you, in addition to being able to run down opponents and kill them, the other is defensive, where your primary goal is to defend ones self, by scanning for targets and placing them in your sights wile determining weather or not they are a potential threat if they get on your back, and forcing a catch up joust if they engage you by reversing , not to score the kill against the player unless they seek said death. If they chose to run, you cant do anything about it. Then again, if you do as well, neither can they.

Post nerf, the Python is going to turn defensive, and the Conda is better suited for that role all around. The build however is just a starter Conda. From that, upgrading things to A will see you marginal gains, with the big one being in the class 8 PD, but none of them will be necessary, just nice to have once you can afford them. Thats why the build is meant to replace the Python post Nerf. They both are going to end up doing the same thing anyways.

I can't argue with that, that's why I'm buying the Anaconda, at least I know what role the Anaconda plays in the game. The Python used to have the role of best fighter.. post nerf, new fighters, who knows what the Python will be used for.

What would be your weapon loadout on a combat conda, and why?

I am also considering a 'conda, I've heard it has a good jump range. Any thoughts on configuration for lowest weight and max jump range?

I want to use it for exploring. The Asp is too small for me to pace up and down the cockpit on those long voyages.

a friend had one in gamma with 35ly jump range, no weapons tho. But what a badass ship to explore in

You can get it to 41ly :)

I can tell you that the turrets (even the 16million ones) are absolute rubbish. I've tried loads of different load-outs and my two favourites are:

4 pulse lasers
4 cannons

4 pulse lasers
4 dumbfire missles

4 lasers can pretty much fire forever so they leaves the others to really pack the final punch.

It is a very big ship so if the enemy is too far above or below you then some weapons will be out of line of sight to fire. I tend to evenly split the weapons so if they all can't hit then at least 2 lasers and 2 cannons can.
