QoL improvements coming?

They actually stealth fixed it in certain situations with Update 14. I have no idea why the full list of changes is never communicated to the CM team, but hopefully this fixes it in the remaining places.
What exactly does "certain situations" mean? I don't use the DC myself, and I have made it a habit to turn off RC unless I need it, but I still noticed the weak thrusters whenever a landing pad was in the instance and have seen the comical attempts of certain NPC ships to enter the mail slot as late as this weekend.

Oh dear Alec, I shall find you a nice quiet spot to rest in. lol
Am actually slightly puzzled by the patch notes, or rather an apparent omission therein. Have they missed off the QoL changes or is that what they mean by those community bug fixes? FAO Sally, bugfixes aren't really QoL changes ... QoL changes are new additions/enhancements to the game which make things better, not fixes to existing "bugs".

Basically Stations and Planets. One of the Buckyballers did a lot of testing as he noticed that something have changed during a race. His conclusion, confirmed by others was.

It's now "only" broken at outposts, carriers and mega ships (as far as my testing has found so far), planets are fine and rotating stations are fine.

I might disagree with the "rotating stations" part. Looking at the NPCs and human players that use the DC, it was still broken in rotating stations, too after U14. Basically everywhere a landing pad is involved.

In that case I don't suppose they've fixed interceptors rotating around stations when someone is docked inside them... Not that it particularly matters anymore since none of the invasions last long enough for starports to come under attack.

The issue applied to all flying situations, it was never restricted to just when using a docking computer. That may have had further complications, but I am certain there was a change.

The rotational correction bug wasn't anything to do with the DC afaik (at least, not the bug I'm hoping they've fixed).
It had a knock on effect because the docking computer seemingly uses rotational correction. It is also not as effective as a normal pilot, and so I think the issue was compounded. I thought the fix in update 14 would have been enough to sort it out entirely, but potentially not. Hopefully this will.

The "rotational correction bug" was that thrusters were being reduced when rotational correction was turned on even in places where it had no effect i.e. anywhere out of supercruise when you weren't inside a station. Thrusters are not behaving incorrectly inside stations when rotational correction is turned on.

I wanted pipes to get tritium flowing from the hold to the depot.

I wanted carrier ATC voices that know their CMDR.

I wanted icy 'roids to yield exponentially more tritium.

I wanted an exo scanner that could be engineered to have bins, reduced diversity requirements and loads ( really loads) of new flora to scan. And fauna.

If I don't get these things, I thall thcweam and thcweam until I'm thick.

I actually didn't see one QOL change in that list. It's all just fixes. No one should be upset with a list of fixes but I think maybe the FD team might want to check their definition of QOL :D
And Glaives will now "correctly" use their anti-guardian field at surface CZs ... I wonder if that means they will use it more or less than previously? I think I can probably guess ... and that sure ain't QoL - at least not for humans. :ROFLMAO:

But on a more realistic note, no dedicated Caustic Sink keybind is gutting ... was hoping that would be a quick and obvious one!

So this latest update is basically a hotfix for all the AX guys, but with respect to those who do not engage in ax gameplay loops , when are we going to get some love and QOL fixes.

But kudos to the devs and sound team for doing the titan it looks and sounds awesome

If I understodd it correctly, people have reported it was inconsistent between players in the same instance, some being affected, some not. So my guess is that this fix targets that.

All of that would have been nice...

Good ol' Enid...

It's entirely possible I suppose that the extensive testing multiple people did after update 13 and then update 14 yielding different results, was a figment of our imagination.
