QoL suggestion: let us fire seeker missiles without lock, even pack hounds

I think we should have the option to fire seeker missiles without needing to have a lock. Normal missiles will just act like dumbfires, and pack-hounds will just fly in a straight line.

In fact, missiles on the Aculeus launcher (Scorpion SRV) work exactly like that, so it could work as a retrofit.
Not sure about the Pack Hounds, but on normal missiles this could be a little, nice addition.

I'd take that as a given. Any seeking missile fired witout a lock will attempt to lock onto the next best signal. With regular "straight forward" seekers, that might be a tolerable risk. With packhounds or torpedoes, the results should be... interesting.

this has been a pain for me since the first time i've had a seeker missiles luncher ...
"You cannot fire without any aiming and lock-on first."

Even Seismic Charge Launcher & Sub-surface Displacement Missile (both will be lost if missed anyway) are not required to take aim first...

Just fire straight forward !​
