Quest cable?

Hello, my lovely wife and daughter are updating my VR to a quest 2 256GB, the oculus branded cable is stupidly overpriced so I wondered if anyone would direct me to a working alternative? I understand you need the lead to play elite dangerous, is that right?
Any other tips or comments would be gratefully received.

You don’t need the Link cable for Elite, though it does massively decrease the headset battery drain. Using the wireless AirLink gives about 2.5 hours play before needing a recharge (which takes just over an hour or so).
