Then coffee machines in some ships are usable only at large space stations.
It's bad, because it's hard too observe something in a cockpit without possibility to use.

Don't forget planets. Stuff like the Dropship (cant remember which of the Fed ships have coffee machines) probably in a lore sense are supposed to spend most of their time on a planet. But of course us players aren't dropship pilots, even when piloting a Dropship.

It's the same thing with ship spoilers and wings. Players think aerodynamics don't matter in Elite ship design, but ships aren't just intended for zero g flight.

The biggest mystery in this game is how our clocks get synced, due to gravity, distance, and the arbitrary choice of reference for timekeeping. Think about it.
