Since it was once again reiterated after update #5 that we would be receiving monthly developer updates, will any of next weeks streams include such content?

I guess it's just wait and see whatever they will do, it's not like there's still much credibility in what they say or promise.
Also, will there be insults toward players on the livestream ?
Certainly there will be unjust insults at the CMs.

So not only the poor CM would be the ones in the line of fire.
But what actually prevents them from talking directly to us?

Well give them slack.
Let them talk about their work. About the secret content they develop.
You know what will happen?
We would be happy. At last we would be happy.
If it works out, we would have something to eager about.
And if it doesnt work out. Who cares.
But we would know.

Remember Sandro Sammarco? I'm personally convinced that his leave from Frontier Developments was a start of huge change in devs communication towards us players.
I somehow missed that he left. Someday he was gone.

Sandro hasn't left Frontier though.
His LinkedIn says he's still at Frontier.

Sandro was lead designer of Evil Genius in 2004, he didn't work on the recent sequel. You can verify that for yourself by viewing the credits:
He is still at Frontier, he just hasn't worked on Elite Dangerous for several years. Not sure which game he's currently working on, possibly Jurassic World Evolution 2, the Formula 1 management game or the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar RTS game.
