Question About the New Combat Video

It would seem from other threads and posts from FD that they are going for;
Is it plausible?
Is it fun?
Is it cool?
And not necessarily in that order.
Michael Brookes has said that they prefer plausible to realistic.
Having said that, FD have also said several times that the video is using the in-game engine but was animated to provide an inspiration to potential composers. So anything that appears to be happening cannot be assumed to be gameplay elements.

I think it looks ridiculous.

If it moved like this the blip should show a static history, with at most a second or so of trajectory prediction.
