Question for the VR players...

I've probably upped the amount of time I'm playing ED at the moment, as I have a small bucket list of things to do before Odyssey drops next year and I'm still not Elite in anything despite having played since Premium Beta (or whenever the Orange Spinning Sidewinders stopped around then for me).
Once the release happens I will likely play Horizons for a little bit, but I think that will be short lived, as its going to be very disheartening to fly past a planet I know is landable in Odyssey, but I can't experience going there in VR.
On the other hand and after a thirteen year combat flight sim hiatus, I have just started flying DCS, which is amazing in VR, even though it has some shortcomings e.g. rotating billboard clouds.
Other options will be Star Wars Squadrons, FS2020 and pulling my own project out of mothballs...

I started ED with a PS4, then decided to go VR, bought a pc and CV1 for it, love VR, its the only way I play the game, I liked it so much that I upgraded to a Pimax 5K+, fantastic FOV, beautiful in combat, even just doing normal grind is ok, cant wait for the next generation GPU's to drop so I can really maximize the headset. It is frustrating though that F-Dev don't develop the basic game with VR, add depth and story to current game play, its a golden opportunity missed.

I’ve been playing a lot less. I tend to have some sort of goal and mine was to get a fleet ready for a huge exploration voyage in my FC.

Saw there were gonna be atmospheric worlds (which was what I’d hoped for) and got hyped so played more. Then found out I won’t be getting them in VR anytime soon if ever so I’m currently finding I think “What’s the point?” So don’t play much or for long :(

I too a break of around 6mths because at the time it seem'd ED was going nowhere and the devs werent so bothered. I started playing again as the fleet carriers were dropped and spend 3-4hrs a night in ED. Then when they said no VR for Odyssey i binned it alltogether thinking Horizons would be the last for VR and all the Odyssey updates would be non-VR too. Since they said Odyssey would get VR just no the legs thing ive been playing more than ever. ED on a flatscreen is not something im willing to do since ive played ED in VR since the kickstarter days.
