Question regarding fences and enclosures

What happens if I make an enclosure inside an enclosure or if I do double or tripple fence lines around an enclosure?
If the dino breaks the first barrier, will that ring the alarms, although he would be still inside a second or third line of fence?

The problem with that is that you will not be able to place paths and viewing galleries close to the dinosaurs, so visitors will not be able to see them through the fence.
Alarms you will have control over, because it's you who decides when to let the alarm go off through the emergency shelter.
In the map view you will see that there will be a broken fence but like you say the dinosaur will still be in a enclosure.

Well, the alarm bell wasn't meant literally.
It was more about how the game would treat such situation, especially when it comes to missions or quests that involve dinos breaking through fences. Would the game recognize a dino breaking the first fence line but still being inside a second fence line as free or not?

It's not super important, but just my mind playing with options...

Interesting. I thought my sister is the only one who builds layers of walls, fences.

Lora, would you mind provide the link reagarding the alarm mechanism? I think this is particularly relavant with challenging security missions.

It is and here's the link :)

Basically when you open the shelters the alarms go off and in the Muerta video you can see that you can set them off individually also.

I had the same idea as the OP. You might not be able to add view galleries - and it sounds like will need an upgraded fence to do that - but maybe it's not intended as an exhibit enclosure.

The question for me is whether you can supply power to the inner fences. If so, then you might be able to keep a dangerous dino behind lower security ring fencing .. maybe for a security mission or similar roleplay, 'off exhibit' and in secret.

You can even build substations inside the enclosure as was seen in the IGN Isla Muerta video.
As long as part of the enclosure is within the range from the substation it will be powered.
