Questioning the Future of the game

This is not one of them posts where im just gonna be negative and say everything is bad. I just wanna post about what has been mostly my experience with this game so far, after spending 1k hours building my mega park. Please do not take any of this as discrediting the work of the devs, frontier community team or other users experience with the game. and yes, there is also many moments of happiness and fun with the game, on the contrary, unfortunately the negative experiences have been overweighing the positive ones mostly :/

after the games release i instantly jumped into building my mega park. i just wanted to do the same project i did in planco 1. start one park and build all the ideas i have and all my favorite attractions into one big mega themepark, the ultimate creative collection of my dreams basically. with the new additions like scenery on coaster cars, new pathing tool and especially the switch track and such i was realy hyped to get into the game.

wanna build a dueling Coaster? not possible, gotta wait for the update. hmm okay then we wait i guess.
ill just watch my park and guests then, how they enjoy my park and stuff. ugh whats that? all guests Walking in snake-like lines and not spreading out. ok ill do something different then.
im gonna build a blue building with lots of details. huh strange, the game doesnt seem to remember when placed objects have different color than base color. guess ill have to manually recolor everytime again. time consuming :(
im gonna recreate voltron… oh i cant place launch tracks steeper than 90 Degrees, strange. lets deactive the advanced limitations. still doesnt work okay.
Guess ill build a water Coaster and theme the boats like realy realy cool. oh no whats that, the scenery isnt moving along with the boat. ill move on then.
lets build a Simulator like Mission space, oh yeah, and then ill slap a screen on each gondola Right in front of the seats and Play the Simulator Video from the original ride. oh whats that, game keeps crashing and screen are not triggeting correctly. Guess ill pass on that then.
i wanna build a toutatis ride with switch tracks, but i have to wait for next update with exchangeable cars. great, update is here but whats that, i cant Change mack ride cars onto multiverse Coaster. in fact i can only cross multiverse coasters with the same type. ok ill do something different in my park then.
wanna add custom media to your park? gotta wait for next update. update Drops, amazing. now i can finally add those custom Audios to my coasters. oh wait, its not ingame yet, wait another month.
oh great, custom Audio for rides is here. huh wait a Moment why are all my Speakers bugged?
ok im just gonna build my star wars dark ride and move that into my park. oh wait, triggers only work sporadicily. Guess ill just move what i have now into my park. ugggh, cant do that, 4k Limit has been reintroduced.
Guess ill just build a big thunder mountain Railroad Coaster with the new western theme. wait, where are the western rocks?

it may all seem like just small little issues or one or the feaure missing, but adding it all up it just keeps realy pushing down ones experience with the game. a game that actually has so much potential and definetly is showing a lot of that potential in some aspects on full display. im not here to tell frontier how to do their job nor am i here to keep complaining about the same issues over and over again. i dont wanna bother the devs or community. in fact this is the first game ever where i realy wished to be so involved in the community because i want the game to be better. its the first game where i actually send all crash reports and even write into the description box what i was doing when the crash happened. its the first game where i find myself instantly posting to issue tracker when something new comes up because i want to contribute to help fixing issues.
i just feel like sometimes i get close to just give up and move on, leave the genre i grew up with for good as there isnt any real competition on the market.

i just want to wish for a better game. for frontier to maybe improve a bit more on the good job they are doing, maybe question a bit more about what the players though process could be when stuff like custom media is completely missing at release, what emotions that could trigger with the players.

after all, i wish everyone a great weekend. im off to finally finishing that mythology area in my park and sharing some new updates on that on my thread in the creations sections :)

I feel your frustration. What really gets to me is how it's the seemingly simple stuff like there's still no toggle for kerbs, no proper grid or cattlepen-style queues and if you want any fences that aren’t the awful-looking thin metal ones that are attached on paths and rides, you're still stuck building fences piece by piece trying to line them up with the paths. Why can’t they just give us more themed/detailed fences attached to paths?

I’ll admit this is petty, but I just built the "Parallelogram" (the flying carpet ride), and noticed the gap from the platform to the seats is almost as tall as the guests themselves. It just looks so unrealistic—like they’d have to jump their own height just to get on the ride.

There’s so much the devs have done right, and the game has serious potential with the updates they're doing but sometimes it just feels like they had a "that'll do" attitude. It’s like half the dev team came from RCT World. PC1 felt like the devs really cared, and were only held back by the tech at the time.

If there are enough complaints, maybe they will address them. But one dev or Frontier employee responded on here about the kerbs and they have no current plans for a toggle. The kerbs must be baked into the paths and removing them is probably difficult for the devs. But, there are tricks to remove them for now.
