Quick Question

During the 2.4 Beta my explorer found himself on a landing pad, pulled out of deep space. I cashed in my exploration data and made 190 mil or so from over 6,000 systems. There was no first discovery bonus, but in Beta that's expected. With the 50% bonus, I would expect it to be around 270 mil or so given the majority of systems were unclaimed.

I scanned everything except ice balls, rocks and asteroids on my trip out to the galactic edge then only AW, WW, ELP, neutron stars and BH on my circuitous way back.

It took me less than an hour to cash out the data, which seems quick for that many systems and I'm thinking I may be missing some data. I've been out for over two and a half years and there's been many hiccups in exploration data since V1.0. So a question for my explorer peers, does that payout seem acceptable?

Mental note: I should go see if all of the ELP's I found are in my name in the Beta.

Payouts increased dramatically with the 2.3 release earlier this year for ELW, AW, WW and terraformables, but only for stuff scanned with the DSS since then. Scans made prior to 2.3 will be cashed in at the old values.

Your estimate seems about right I think. It would be a lot higher if all the systems were scanned under the post 2.3 values.

UC now cashes in pages of 50 systems at a time. So that's ~120 pages in your case, so 2 pages per minute would give about an hour in total.

It's really hard to guesstimate someone else's earnings, as you can literally make anywhere between 0 cr and over half a million on average depending on when and how you explore. :D
My personal rule of thumb on average system value was around 14,000 cr per jump before 2.3. On systems post 2.3 I'm always plotting to F class stars and scan the high value planets in every system I pass through, making my new average guesstimate over 500,000 cr per jump.
You being out for more than two years probably mean most of your data is of the old value, so I guess it sounds okay? Selling data is thankfully a lot faster these days so you can sell off data for thousands of systems in an hour.

I would say depending on what you scan, how selective you are, and what systems you travel through somewhere between 1 million per page of 50 and 15 million per page of 50 seems about right for 2.3 payouts. (before first discovery bonuses)

Yours seems to be on the low-end of that for what you say you're scanning, but if most of it was done before 2.3 that's not surprising.

I did notice the average page was 1.5 - 2 mill with some as high as 5-6. When I cash in on the live servers I'll count the number of pages presented.

Cheers.
