R.I.P. Bunda: Now I'm a bit disappointed in the BGS

Bunda and it's sphere are part of the Winter's fed power space. It was probably flipped to corporate as a powerplay goal. Perhaps you could take it up with them in the powerplay section, or do missions for the "Bunda Crimson Organization" (anarchic buddies) and help them incite another revolution to retake control of the system. I wouldn't mind being able to see novas occurring in the sim too.

I'd love a truly dynamic representation of the Milky Way and its inhabitants' civilizations. Example:

A star in a populated system is going to go nova in 3 months. Cmdrs have to evacuate the 4 billion people to a safe area, build facilities to receive them, protect them from pirates, etc etc. And then, after 3 months, the star goes nova. Permanently, persistently, in-game for everyone to see depending on where they are in relation to the star (1 LY away, then 1 year from now you'll see the star go nova in-game..., or go there now and see it now).

Le sigh...

Screw that, I'm too busy looking for a particular HGE because of.. Experimentals.

I HEAR YA BRO!

'tis a sad day when one hears of yet another anarchy state going rogue and back to a civil way of life....bad day man..bad day..

Wait, are we slowly witnessing our Galaxy becoming a tad... dynamic and alive for the very first time ??

Anarchy suddenly starting to actually mean something?
Jurisdictions suddenly starting to actually mean something?
The fluctuations in the BGS beginning to actually affect Players?

Color me intrigued :D

(that's how it was supposed to be from Day 1 IMHO, we just witnessed 3 full years going wasted while meaningless ASCII Strings replaced each other back & forth - and folks naturally got very used to it)

Bunda, a large-population system right next door to my home base at Shinrarta Dezhra, used to be Anarchy. It was a super place to test new builds without bounty worries, had oodles of assassination missions, and was great for impromptu PvP, plus the station stocked all the finest illegal stuff, had Interstellar Factors, and a black market. All these things are gone now...

It was me, I did it. And that's just the beginning - by this time next week, there will not be a single anarchy system in the entire bubble!

Some heroes dress like a bat, others dress like a duck ;)

That may have been your experience, it certainly wasn't ours. BGS has been the basis of our fun since launch. We might just be a little weird tough.

The great micro-weave cooling hoses & neofabric insulation shortage of 3304 sent speculations wild, where even the rumor of their existence would lead an Armada of pilots to scout local factions for jobs paying in said commodities. Bunda was one spot with repeated claims of these items being rewarded. It's quite possible the more lawful factions of the system saw sharp spike in support that has already begun to wane.

I you remember I did pretty much the same. Still, it got fairly stale over time. Plus, it never really meant anything outside of the personal fun you mentioned... that certainly was something that worked very well ;)

Does this mean I have to change my tagline: "bunda- the best hive of scum and villainy the bubble has to offer"?

Bunda is a Winters Control System, isn’t it? Hard to say who flipped it, but that might provide a clue.

But yeah, like others have said, flip that sucker back if you’re so concerned! It can be done.

Maybe YOU are just noticing but it's always been like that.

Oh dear me, no. This is indeed most unwelcome news.

Amongst the things the OP mentions, this is going to make it less convenient to farm the abundant assassination missions from Jameson...

...missions which, ironically, I suppose might have contributed to the controlling faction's demise.

I couldn't care less about Bunda but I have to say the "Can I haz your stuff" comments are particularly good in this thread.
