Since I can't access the Radio Sidewinder blog, for whatever reason, it would be nice of you to clearify if this was a real thing or just a made up story.
Right now you are the single point of information for me.
I'd love to explore a clue if there is one.
Can you elaborate on this one?
It's no more or less false than most of the other theories at this moment in time because they are all still just theories. Unless you have solved both* of these "mysteries" how can you pronounce it to be a false lead?
* Let's throw in the Formadine Rift as well and make it three, or perhaps they are all the same one.

Going into this I knew next to nothing about Radio: Sidewinder. I still don't know much, really. I wondered if Frontier would maybe contact them to introduce something like this into the game, but I had no idea.

I heard this on Radio SideWinder and thought "oh that's a nice creepy spoof music break and there's a system name in there somewhere too but I can't be bothered to work it out" They aren't affiliated with FD so I doubt there's anything in this at all apart from adding some atmosphere while out in the black. tbh I'm bored of the "Plasma Plus, Winston P Head, etc adverts " so it makes a nice change
Alright, i'll explain myself.
I think I am on a good lead solving this puzzle.
All inspired by the creative people in various threads around here.
I believe there is a plot to introduce another "power" to the galaxy. Call it Aliens, Thargoids, AI or whatever, it doesn't matter.
There are multiple statements by officially licensed writers, throughout different plattforms, stating there is a lead to follow.
I believe the writers forum contains the whole idea of how the plot could go and who covers which part of the story.
Now as Radio Sidewinder seems not being part of this writers community, I wondered if FD has contacted them in an effort to support the ongoing quest, i.e. with this hacked transmission.
The transmission could point to an event in the history of the ED universe, leading further down the road, that's why I was asking if it was pure roleplaying, before going to follow this lead.
No offense meant but I have to admit i was kind of rude. I am sorry for that.

After clues from a project that started 2,5 years ago, that turn into actual gameplay now?
Not sure I understand the relevance of that but anyway, a) why would they use a fan website that only 0.5% of the player population would see and b) I'm certain that they would want all clues to be in game and/or in the books and any hints (like the ones that MB has given) to be dropped in the forum (that they own and control).
