Music in game is great; altho what I miss is the equivalent of a trucker radio station, that mostly play talk show.

I can play my music in game with my iPod 4000 with 2 Tb of memory, directly integrated in my ear ;)

Apologies if this has already been suggested here (as my post title indicates, I'm posting in response only to the OP), but I would love the ability to take music files from my PC and put them in an Elite: Dangerous folder, then access them through my ship menu to play in-game.

Okay, yeah, I could just alt tab and play them in the background while the game's running, but.... IMMERSION, man!

Think of it... Bounty Hunting playlist, Trading playlist, Exploring playlist, etc... all from within the game!

And you can feel like a man of the year 2000; listening to classics like Baby baby baby, girlfriend, and the evergreen "What is Love" :)

The equivalent of a jet pilot today listening to Mozart ;)

It's a good idea. The players should make the content, because the devs can't spend much time to keep it refreshing.

Yes Elite would be more fun with custom music playlists.

Indeed! This is exactly what I would love to do.

Problem Solved

Either google:

"Galnet radio youtube"

Or visit

EliteDangerousVoiceAttckRadioPack.com

It's EXACTLY what you are all looking for. Including daily in-game news, and 1,000 radio stations.

The news channel idea is awesome; for the music; I have my doubts, since I can simply use my own player in the background while playing. The voice control thing is a nice touch to not break the illusion.

Good job, I will give it a try :)

you mean, what GTA did, and Fallout 3 did, and Fallout New Vegas did, and Saints Row 2,3,4 did and bunch of others did, and Star Citizen is already doing with ads?

yep great ´idea´ :D.. imagining now

What GTA 5 does is what I think would be best. Lots of stations, but only about 10-20 songs on each and pre recorded commentating and ads.
