Hello to everybody out there!
So, while I already had my share of bounty hunting and exploring in ED, I'm fairly new to trading in the game, especially when it comes to rare commodities. Hence, I do not fully understand the underlying mechanics, even after reading a couple of guides.
The question that bothers me now is: how exactly does the resupply system work in terms of rare goods? I've read that those goods should resupply once every 10-15 minutes, so that you can wait at a station and check back every once in a while to buy the newly arrived goods until your cargo hold is full. Sadly, I do not really see the system working like this.
Here is my example: Yesterday I flew to a station selling rare goods that is not listed on any of the suggested loops I found. The reason for this is it's long distance from jump point (>500.000 Ls). So, when I arrived there it had 8 units of the rare good which seems to be the stock maximum. I bought these 8 units and logged out after that. Today I checked back to buy some more but found that there was still nothing in stock. Also, the goods didn't resupply after 30 more minutes of waiting, nor did they after I departed and came back to the station. Because of the distance to the system's jump point I don't really believe someone else would also be waiting at the exact same station at this very moment to empty those supplies whenever they arrive.
So what's the matter here? Did I do something wrong? Don't the rare goods resupply when you empty the stock? I'm not sure if it is important, but after emptying the supply the "in stock"-section doesn't show a "0" or anything, it is just an empty box. [???]
Please, enlighten me!
