Maybe these rates should be somewhat market driven. If no one is trading at the 6-1 ration then the traders will have lots of stock they cannot get rid of so the price goes down. Also, when demand goes up then the price goes up.

Disagree, I don't see it as a grind at all. I converted my G4 muilti-cannons to g3, traded some useless junk for the mats I needed and rolled up the G4 level and unlocked G5. Traded some other junk for Mats I needed for G5 and now I just need to go find some Zirconium which is not hard to find and I'll have 2 shiny new G5 overcharged MCs. It will be a little more work getting my un-engineered G4 MCs modded up but I don't see it as that much trouble.

i bought a new vette and g5d the whole thing from scratch, I had a considerable reserve of mats and data from before the update and it was a complete pita from start to finish

No wonder I've been needing more comfort food.

Laws were enacted when things got too outrageous. Game mechanics that discourage gameplay, over collection, are also not good.

I think they should set the trades to something similar to what player vs player would offer if we were able to trade with cmdrs. I'm sure there's no way that anyone would trade 6 pharms for 1 exquisite focus crystal or vice versa, its just ridiculous and there's no good gameplay reason to make it that high.

The global definition of fair trade:
The USA must import products manufactured from County B without imposing any tariffs. Even when these products adversely effect manufacturers in the US. (i.e. steel)
Country B says, "No, you cannot export your agricultural product into our county as that would adversely effect our farmers" (i.e. France)

I spent much of my childhood navigating all over Europe for my parents.

I was trilingual before age five. Reading at a collegiate level in first grade.

Back in the States, I was the navigator again, rescuing lost parents and relatives, sometimes talking them back home by phone.

I had a collection of over a thousand maps, at one time. Had to jettison them. No room.

I suck. Keep punishing me for all our sins.
