RCT3 Style Custom Billboards / Images

One of the best ways in RCT3 to personalize your park was through the use of Custom Billboards / Import Images. I am so thankful PC has given us Custom Music and I really hope Custom Billboards / Images make a return as well.

I understand that sharing / copyright issues may be a reason why we don't currently have this option. What about a workaround whereby any shared blueprint with a custom billboard / poster / sign would revert back to a blank surface when sharing / using Steam Workshop?

I used to create my own Attraction Posters and upload them into RCT3. I placed them near the park entrance similar to the Attraction Posters that welcome you into Disneyland. I would also use the multiple image billboard option to create slideshows for my attractions (Timeless Moments with Rutherford B. Hayes), dark rides (Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Lost Skull of Doom) and queue enhancements (Honey I Nuked the Audience). [wacky]

I doubt that's a reason. The devs are smart enough to know that's not an issue, literally ever, because you can't/don't have to send files unrelated to the in-game content through the workshop. When the game says "What picture is on this?" it's told "C:/Users/Dudebro/Documents/Pictures/PlanetCoasterStuff/Billboardpicture.jpg", and Steam Workshop obviously can't do anything with that information for anyone else, and they'd just revert that data to null.

The more likely reason is simply becuase lots of content from RCT3 didn't make it into PC, as a matter of...just...not being there. As opposed to technical reasons.

they have said an update is coming in December at some point and just released 1.02... just give them some time however i agree telling us what is planned would be good

Back in my RCT3 days, I found myself away from the game, spending countless hours just making my own custom images on Photoshop to be used in game for attraction posters, custom logos, Dark Ride imagery, and custom signage. I can't think of another game that I would be "playing" (designing custom images) even when I wasn't playing the actual game!

For me, this is by far my number #1 request. Custom images, RCT3 style custom billboards and maybe even video or GIF uploads will really take this game to a whole other level! I hope this is addressed by the Devs soon.

Has there been any discussion of custom logo's? Having an image I design replace all the current PC logos in the game (i.e. on enter/exit doors on rides) will go a long ways toward making the park feel very personal.

I take back some of the strong words. I regret sorry but im just so eager. Creations i see from the community are nothing but boring im seeing lots of great stuff. And the team is working hard that im sure off!

RCT3 had a "scrolling" option - you could add multiple images to a billboard with the option of having it display just one image, or let it scroll many images (like a slide show). I LOVED this option and would like to see it back.

Improvements to the custom image options would be

1) Not just billboards, but other sized pieces as well like attraction posters and walls would be able to display custom images

2) Allow us to import GIF files or videos for billboards and cinema-style screens

Yes, to underline the importance of custom billboards one time more: please integrate that function in one update in future (perhaps as DLC), I would pay for that possibility.
