Oh god, they're attempting tongue in cheek marketing puns now are they... And "gives you more opportunities found nowhere else.." Is shocking grammar!
If they're so confident it's amazing, why don't they give ppl a 48 hour window to refund if they don't think it's amazing? That would shut us all up!

So, just been discussing 'the bridge' elsewhere. And it's very hard to see how the suspension cables can be broken down into separate pieces. There are only two possibilities I see (please suggest others):
1) The cables are much larger pieces, and only make sense in this one structure.
2) The cables are indeed individual little pieces, all with slightly different geometry... But would still only be able to make this one shape.
I can't see any other way the cables could work, or as a result, how they could be useful for anything else. Did they just build a bridge model and then chop it up so the player can reassemble it again? Is that what they think the purpose of pbp is?
I guess we'll all find out 'early' next week (friday afternoon then).

The bridge is the only pbp "content" they will offer and the pieces will really only be useful to make that bridge. The rest will need to be made by players as UGC. IE: no sets of generally useful pieces as in PC/RCT3/Parkitect will be supplied by Atari. In essence, they made a 3D snapping grid.
Feel free to worship if I'm right, or call me a cab if I'm wrong..

Ahh that's true... But there is something about that bridge that's out of place, as if they have missed what people want from UGC. And the trailer pieces too look very basic. I just think they aren't going to populate their pbp system with very much content...

It's a challenge! Shots fired! Next week they will unveil a pbp system superior to 'planets' in every way!
To be fair, sophisticated humour like that often goes of the heads of us mere mortals...!
The difference is... Frontier don't need to take shots at RCTW. It would be like me stamping on an ant for 'making too much noise'.
Anyway, they obviously want to continue to try and capitalise on the fact they have UGC which PC does not... But it won't ever bridge the gap. The truth is that PC was built ground up to be as free as possible, and to nurture true creativity. RCTW was not. They started with limited ambitions; hence, their game will always be limited.
Nah...They found a point to boast. You will be able to make walls and bits for the PbP system. That is a big deal. Coaster heads would go nuts over that in PC!
We'll see how it works next week.
I strongly believe that the bridge PbP will just be the bridge chopped into 3 pieces. I bet they just bought the model somewhere and chopping it apart is their big achievement. Remeber the first picture they posted related to PbP with the sci-fi theme? There it was also fairly obvious that the pieces are so big that the number of possibilities to combine them in meaningful ways has to be very low, and don't even dare talking about being able to do something creative with it...

That's true 'in PC' because the entire game is that free. But in RCTW, I just imagine the PBP system, even if you can use UGC won't be quite as free (I don't know how, it just won't be). And even if it was, everything else would still be restrictive as ever. Hence the stacked rocks in the bridge picture.
It's the same argument as ever. Yes, they're making progress. And if they re-visit every part of the game in turn,it could be very good. But if they ever intended to redo the whole thing, it wouldn't be in early access. I really have tried to find other logical explanations for their actions but I can't!
