Re: Auto storage of E-Rated Core Module Issue

The problem here is that it's very inconvenient and time-consuming to have to keep going back into the menu system to sell off accumulated junk like this which very quickly piles up and takes unnescesary time to have to deal with.

Is there any better argument to keep this the way things are? Or can it be considered to have a default setting that automatically sells off E-Rated Stock Core modules as soon as they are replaced by upgraded ones when fitting out my new ships instead of automatically storing them?

This has annoyed me for a long time now, and I can't possibly be the only player to hate having to keep going back to clear out E-Rated junk when buying and kitting out new ships.

I recommend toggling the sell option when it's available, and for the others, while you are still in the outfitting section, after you install your new thing, just go back in right then and sell the old thing. Simple and relatively fast since you are already at the same menu. That's only for core modules. For all other modules you can just sell them off before you start upgrading: hardpoints, optional internals, and utilities (if any).

Yes that's what I have to do already. But my concern is it adds extra minutes onto my build time when buying and fitting out multiple ships in a batch, having to go back and sell the E-rated core modules from the module menu will take much longer. Better to have setting or just a buy/sell old module combination button available when installing new core modules that allows the automatic selling of the E-rated one straight away instread of storing it. Is this not too much to ask for? (I guess it probably is).

It doesn’t add minutes, it adds seconds, once and only once per ship. Get over it. With all the hundreds of bugs that are languishing on their bug tracker, FD should not prioritize over any of those.

It does add up to minutes when clearing out unwanted core modules left over from a just a small batch of newly built ships. Depends how often I end up having to do these tasks. But it is still time better spent doing something more productive, and this is a Vangaurds Squadron thing not just a general gripe that I have but a potential problem that other CMDR's will be facing if they are also finding themsleves building batches of ships to store up in the SC bank. So it's not a problem that we have now, but it might become one later.
