So I was curious as to the cost of the SA pack in pounds and euros and how it compares to the cost that we Americans are paying. I found that the cost of the SA pack in Euros is 7.99. The cost of 10.99 in dollars and pounds seemed a bit stiff so it piqued my curiosity, leading me to pull up the Google currency calculator and I found that 7.99 is...
$8.81
£7.11

This is, to put it politely, quite upsetting revelation. I have absolutely no idea why it would mark up the prices so much for the Brits and Americans.

And by the way, the Arctic Pack is the same price in euros as the South America pack (€7.99)

EDIT. I made a big mistake in my conversion. The price of the 2 DLC's is 7.99 POUNDS, not Euros. The real conversion would then be
$9.89
€8.97

I dun goofed and for that, I apologize.

It's £ 7.99, not Euros.

£ 7.99 converted to USD is approx $10, they will be charging $11.
£ 7.99 converted to Euro is Approx € 9, they will be charging € 11

In all fairness, what is 10 dollars in the U.S at this point? I do not know where in the U.S you live, but in any major city, 10 dollars is just a coffee and a bagel this days. This game does provide so much entertainment. I presented it to a few families that have been suffering from cabin fever here in the U.S and they were shocked about how much content and possibilities were offered for the price. I do understand that in other regions of the world, it might be a bigger hit in the pocket for them. But why is this company not advertising their game in the U.S

I want to support Frontier, since the quality of their work and piece by piece element is incredible and exactly what I wanted, but in all seriousness, how long before an American company sees the potential in creating a much broader zoo game that has a stronger marketing team behind it. Out of the 18 zoos that I visited after the game was released, only two had any knowledge of the game.

Ok so I just saw that it was £7.99 and needless to say, I feel quite stupid for not double checking before making this post.

However, I still have reservations about the markup for euros and dollars since both DLC packs are the same price in the UK.

Simply wow. I didn't realize of the conversions when I saw the prices.

Feels a bit discriminatory that Europeans have to pay as much as 2€ more for what the DLC costs in UK...

I'm not saying the price is high for the offered content but the conversion they applied is offensive, to say the least.

I'm sure this is something that is tax related as well. Europe uses a high tax rate compared to other countries.

That is why everything in Europe is more expensive and people order cheap garbage in Asia.

There is much more with this than just a simple price comparison.

I disagree with people arguing things like “it’s not that expensive either way” or the weird argument of “inflation” (this is all numbers from the same time inflation doesn’t apply). The reality is you pay mire if you aren’t a UK citizen, which is a bit unfair. I expect to pay mire via individual USA state tax anyways but to up charge the base price before tax isn’t right, even if it isn’t much on paper.

also why paying 10 bucks for 200 pieces? there are mods lol jaguar is already as mod available since a while and it looks freaking good look youtube.

So Frontier has made the pack 9.99 in Euros and USD and I would just like to say thanks to any CM's reading this.
That's great news! DLC Prices accross different monetary systems seem to be a bit more accurate now.

Ehm, not even sure if it's worth answering this but it's +250 scenery pieces, 4 habitat animals (jaguar plus 3 more) and 1 exhibit animal. I wouldn't say it's cheap but it's a fair price tbh.

The modded jaguar looks good but definetley not as good as Frontier's, not to mention that the modded one REPLACES another animal in the base game.
