Real life coaster licensing?

Did you ever put the Steel Vengeance blueprint in any of your parks? Ever look at it? It is very good!!! But there are some sections of it which the game couldn't do quite right. I never used it.

So is it a good thing if there was a collection of real life coasters in the new game? They might not always get used in your original creations but it would be good to have some real coasters I think. Even for geeky things like comparing real life with 4m computer pieces. This is great when making your new original coasters. But will any new coaster tool features allow extremely accurate replication of the real life coasters which wasn't fully present in the original game?

I would like blueprints of real coasters for exactly the same reason. But I guess the excitement rating of the game would never be as high as in real life. I think real life coasters are often too short to get a good in game rating...

I think it's nice to have some, not too bothered about them being perfect 🙌. I have enjoyed as an adult travelling to places with coasters from rollercoaster tycoon. It's how I knew to go to Holiday Park to ride Expedition g force. I would assume that's the main reasons parks want coasters in a game. It's advertising.

Nice replies. Thanks.
I was also just watching Rudi's "Planet Coaster 1.5" video. Which raises a question. Since Frontier have the official Jurassic World license already for Jurassic World Evo, doesn't this make a Universal partnership more possible and more likely than a Disney partnership? I only mention it as it seems obvious and would vastly alter any real life coaster line up that is to appear in the game. In my mind, partnering with anybody but Universal can put the Jurassic World Evo title at risk.

More than anything, that's a good point that perhaps a Disney partnership wouldn't happen. I think Universal with JW specifically wouldn't happen because of potential competition between the games. But we already had some Universal partnership in Planet Coaster. The Munsters, Back to the Future and Knight Rider DLC.

There also has been the "Copperhead Strike" Coaster in Planet Coaster, which in essence is pretty much a clone of the "Vector" Launched Coaster, which is their take on the Mack Mega Coaster (Blue Fire). The upside was we got another Version of the Coster with Themed Cars, and i think the variety was welcome. But now with the ability to theme up Coaster Trains it is less needed since the use case of those Licensed Coasters is pretty small. Having said that i would still like having some licensed real life Coasters in Planet Coaster 2 :D

I have a list :sneaky:

Since I have a list to keep track of Planco 1 rides in Planco 2, I marked the Licenced ones since I don't expect them to be carried over. According to my list these rides are licenced by real brands :

Go Garts - Back To The Future
Go Garts - Knight Rider
Go Garts - The Munsters
Shooting Ride - Ghost Busters Experience
Copperhead Strike - Coaster
Steel Vengeance - Coaster
RollerGhoster - Coaster

Sounds like a very thorough job you're doing :) And now it's become a case of real life rides in general and not just real life coasters.
