Real money

Don't like this idea one bit tbh.

Paid for my XBox, paid for ED, paid for Horizons and paid for Gold XBL membership to play this game.
No intentions of paying some random person more of my money so I can enjoy a game.

It is exactly this type of mentality that is hurting modern gaming.

My vote is a resounding No as well. Also if you cannot do well at a game without paying someone else to do it for you then you are probably not cut out to play the game in the first place. But hey that's just my opinion.

I am totally against any kind of RMT.

But I am interested in the possibility of in-game credits being used in an open job board. i.e. player driven bounties and wing support.
Tricky though, as this is a path to in game trading which could be exploited and abused in the same way.

Naw... jist, naw to the idea of it. Like Bongo said, this isn't EA or Eve online.

Saying that... there have been times I wished I could have shoved a few in game creds in a mates direction instead of spending 2 days dropping cargo cannisters of Imperial slaves 20 at a time from the Cutter.

After migrating from the pay to win type of game like WOT I would say any Dev who would mentions similar type of economic system being implemented should be dragged out side and beaten with cabbages

Never played them which might be why I had to ask, rather than know.

Right, cooler heads prevail at the end of the day, thank you mod team for doing what I came back to do.
Op, no offense to you intended, but as you can see this is a touchy subject.

A bad idea? Perhaps yes.

But!...

All you naysayers sitting in your high towers with nothing but a poxy screen to moan at and disagree with, just take a moment and think if you'd respond in the same manner if we were all sat in a room together. I doubt it!!!

My answer to the op's idea is no. The format of the game is good the way it is.

As for you, there are parts of the world, even in civilised countries, where your attitude will get you killed. You'd be far less brave yourself, staring your own mortality in the face.

Games like second life allow players to convert real and in game currency back and forth.

I realise that ED can't actually do that, but what if there were an elite bay kind of place where, for a fee, you could get hold of that scan you need, or certain materials, hire a couple of wingman to keep griefers off your back or even take out a contract on someone who has done you wrong.

Sort of like a paid version of the Fuel Rats...
Ya this is by far the worst idea to hit the forms, what next pay real money to get to a rank or to buy a ship.

See this is why I always praise this forum so much.
Even on those occasions that some of us do lose our heads it's a flash-in-the-pan, not the ridiculous raging forest fires that decimate huge swathes of other online communities.
o7 CMDRs.

This ten times over.
I'm still trying to get over the fact that I was so stupid to invest in World of Banks as much as I did.
My own fault but any idea leaning towards a real money system triggers quite the emotion.

So...... NO!

Nothing personal @Op just my personal traum err opinion.
