Really dumb question about buying voice attack. Help needed.

I use XE.COM for fast exchange questions. Barring that, hit the purchase button. When I buy on PayPal I'm told the Bermudian dollar equivalent before I commit the purchase.

It's ten dollars. If I put in, say, £100, in my bank account on Monday (obviously covering £-$ exchange rate save for some kind of disaster), may I just as well hit the purchase button?

As you can tell I have no experience with foreign currency.

They don't have a store in Europe/UK, they are in Texas USA. It's $10 US, and you would have to do a conversion to the current exchange rate to know about what it will cost you. PayPal will usually do the exchange automatically, though they also charge a small fee for it.

However you pay for it, it's well worth the price! I can't play ED without it, EDDI or the Ivona Gwenneth voice. I currently use a highly modified version of KICS with VA, mostly because its free, but the paid voice packs are really cool!

So, let's say for the sake of simplicity, that $10=£12. That means that twelve pounds will be taken out of my account, and PayPal will do the conversion, plus the fee?

It is more expensive on STEAM, by a lot. Just buy it directly from the VA site with PP, it will likely be around 7.64 pounds. And, it won't have any STEAM DRM attached to it.

Okay, thanks. :)

$10 is the equivalent of roughly £7.70 at current exchange rate of $1.31 so will not be any more than £8 even if they use a bad rate.

Well played.

Thanks.

Even more useful hardware when you couple it with the following software:

Breakfast Shake
6 Tbsp Liquid Egg Whites (2 Serviings)
1 Medium Banana
5 (approx) Medium Strawberries
4-6oz of Low Fat, Plain Kefir
1 Tbsp Unsweetened Peanut Butter
Blend. Drink.

There's your 350-400 calorie breakfast for the next two weeks. Have it around 0830, don't eat again until noon.

Make it happen.

Ifaik you can try it for free for short while.

VA is great and I totally recommend it even if you don’t use voice commands!

Seriously, thank you. I do appreciate it, you should know that. Getting out is just incredibly difficult.

No idea about the $ / € question Un1k0rn, but I'll just say this : as a HCS voicepack / voiceattack user and as a forum member reading your forum posts on a regular basis, I'm pretty sure you'll have tremendous fun setting up your own commands and having fun with ASTRA. :D

Additional dumb question, but one won't get anywhere without asking.

I'm playing with the trial version of VA right now. Is this how an HCS VP works?:

You buy the full version of VA, then you buy an HCS VP, and that VP becomes a selectable option under "profiles" in VA?

This is me without looking on YouTube as of yet.

Ah, okay. Found a very good video on the HCS YT channel. I think I have this. :)
