Honestly, small ships are underrated. You should definitely give it a try!
Each to his own.I was so excited to see the cobra as an alternative to the krait or python, able to effectively multi role and combat against the big boys , to have all my hopes dashed by the announcement it will be a small ship .
There are, but TBF, you can just park your ship anywhere assuming you can find suitable terrain. Small ships are just more convenient - you never have to park at a distance and walk to the base and you never have to wait around for the only medium sized pad at an outpost either.Of course what we really need is locations that have only small landing pads. (I am assuming that there are no Ody small-pad-only settlements?)
Ideally one that isn't rank locked or made of light-as-a-featherium™.I’m glad it’s a small ship. We just need a large SCO ship too.
There are Odyssey small-pad-only settlements. I did not have to look very far out from Sol: there's one in Sol.Of course what we really need is locations that have only small landing pads. (I am assuming that there are no Ody small-pad-only settlements?)

Yes, unfortunately. Unifying the mission boards would alleviate that somewhat. Obviously it wouldn't help in the case of things like cargo missions where your ship needs to interface with the settlement, but it's not necessarily a bad thing that there is part of the game where small ships excel. That doesn't work if you want to conduct trade, or pick up ship-based missions from those settlements.

What we really need is gameplay for small ships. irl vehicles are designed for a spec. Fit x soldiers and land on a beach. Carry x people in comfort and at y speed. Carry double x in security, stuff comfort. etc. Variants occur as different companies try to fill those specs with different priorities and design goals.Of course what we really need is locations that have only small landing pads. The other day I was running missions and happened to be in my phantom at the time, and I actually had to leave and come back with my viper because the terrain was just that bad. There are, but TBF, you can just park your ship anywhere assuming you can find suitable terrain.
