I was seriously considering posting my own system specs just to take a jab, but that's not relevant of called for in this topic, although I'm confident my specs are better than his.
To contribute to the thread, I have certainly noticed the mission accept and claim times have been significantly reduced, and the hyperspace jump time significantly increased.
Fortunately, actions can be carried out very quickly, as in 2.1 it took nearly 15 seconds to load the mission board and another 10 to accept a mission!
Fly safe CMDR
Please post your specs as it's always nice to see what other people are running, it would be nice to see what you kids are using to try to kill with me with lol.
Back in the day (2011) I was one of first people to wire in AGP graphics (GT 220) and sound cards via a riser board in to my one of my HP DL380 G5's, had to mess about with drivers for weeks but it worked.
Dual - Quad Core Xeons @ 3.16ghz 32gig ram and it's now the Media server for my office. It had dual monitors with Sql Server 2008 ah memories.
Started watercooling in the days of submersible fish tank pumps, thats when you had to sit there for hours hand lapping a water block which I had an engineer friend of mine make from scratch.
It had hand coiled copper pipe heat enchanger and it was in a lian li case, with hand cut window !
Today my server room is full of HP gen 9's so I think I will win in raw computational power !
My top spec machine is Dual 10 Cores (Xeon E5-2650V3 @ 2.3 GHz) might just give me the edge - it's tasked to a rather large paint manufacture.
But it's so expensive that I'm not going to look up if it will run an add on graphics card, as I might get tempted to try it out just for giggles.
I have a few Gen 8's and some older G5's still in use for my older clients as they will never outgrow them, so might have a look at what I can do with one of them next time theres an update to download lol.
