Well my connections good else I couldn't post here !

Did a speed test fine, downloaded a 1gb Databse file from Melbourne Australia in less then 5 minutes.

Played 2 rounds of Titan Fall.

So there IS NOTHING WRONG with my side.

Failed to read response stream. network connection Closed. when trying to get the patch !

Info box says 507.4 < 5 mins then dies lmao

I don't see how you can claim there IS NOTHING WRONG on your end. There obviously is dude! lol! ;)

Its obvious there is an issue somewhere between your rig and the download servers. If this was a global problem, you would be hearing about it on here. The fact that I was able to get the same file in 20 minutes using a fraction of your speed pretty much proves that to be the case. I used the ED launcher and not through the Steam app by the way. If you are going through Steam, you might want to use the launcher stand alone, launched from the Desktop.

Also... You might try NOT playing any games while you are attempting to download this? I generally don't run any apps of any kind when I am downloading updates. I've just found this tends to make for the smoothest and fastest process.

It's updating here, but at 0.4 Mbps. I have 80 Mbps d/l speed.

As I type this, it has increased to 3 Mbps, and instead of 7 hours, now says 2 hours. 4.7 Mbps now... (as I type it is increasing).

LOL when I hit the error message it stopped downloading - and did the fault finding without the download going.

Now it's connected @ 0.52mb/s 6h

5 minutes for me - which is probably aggravating to hear.

That long ? mine took 4 max lol as soon as they mentioned it was live in the stream, clicked download update via the launcher and was laughing my     off at how fast and smooth it went :) and I am only on a VDSL 40Mb connection

Currently at 6 MB/sec (according to the UI) and 25 mins...

ITS GOING UP ! 0.9 nnnnnoooooooo now its going down again !

0.6 and holding strong only 5h + to go.

The message has now changed in the Server Status box to ISSUES DETECTED so it isn't my side or my connection.
It's ED not having enough grunt to keep up with demand.

I mean if APPLE can give me an update in seconds why can't you guys ?

Are you the YOUTUBE Flimley as your my HERO !

I've had to go from Ultra/No AA/SS at 0.65 to >>Med<< with SS at 0.5 just to get acceptable FPS!!! Not happy!!!!! This is at 4K resolution.

2.1 Ultra settings >= 50 FPS out of station, 35 FPS within

2.2 at same settings, 25 FPS OUTSIDE!!!! 10 FPS WITHIN!!!

Damn it!

Well. glad I started at 1.30 this afternoon exactly, or I think I would still be going at the week end......

now at 8.8gb of 13.0gb done, but speed has dropped to a whopping 100kb/s as a rough average...

Ok that was a high reading which dropped in the time it took to type it, lets actually call that a high, with more like an average 85kb/s and a laughable 11hrs remaining estimation...

.... [some quote elided]

So today I've got a spare 30 minutes to run a few missions or kill some AI so I've opened up the Loader and wow there's an update. Clicked on it and the update is downloading at 0.14mb/s

There isn't a problem with my line as I've just completed some checks and everything is PERFECT.

Can someone tell me when your servers will be sorted ?

Forgot to say only 21 Hrs to Download !

That's nothing! I'm getting 0.04MB/s and 3 days to download!

0.04mb/s Jesus Christ where are you living
I'm in the UK and I get 70Mb/s, only not from frontier it seems.

Oh, oh ... someone suggested alternative download from options, that's better, only ... 11hours to go.

An hour later and the download speed was up to 75Mb/s, only 20 minutes more.

None of your stats matter to be honest, it just makes you come off as arrogant.

I have no issues with the mission boards personally, I downloaded the update in 20 minutes, and have gotten no server disconnections, so it could entirely be related to your computer and or connection? just saying stats means nothing directly....
Your computer stats does not prevent there from being problems with said computer or connection.

My rig is a water cooled I7-6700K with a Titan card so I've invested in my tech, and I'm sitting behind 200mb fibre.

Firstly I'm getting sick to death of watching the little globe colour shifting when I actually get time to play as it takes an average of 10 seconds to display Missions, and then accepting a mission and then claiming my reward. All the while eating away at my TIME !

THAT'S TOO        ING LONG - is that EASY enough so anyone can understand it?

And this past week there’s been too many can't connect to server messages popping up on my triple monitors.

So today I've got a spare 30 minutes to run a few missions or kill some AI so I've opened up the Loader and wow there's an update. Clicked on it and the update is downloading at 0.14mb/s

Has it got Dobly?

I'm also on a 200Mbit fibre connection and this happens with every major ED update for me. Just wait until 3am, or later in the week when the servers are less busy and it will be fine.

It's patch day and everyone is downloading a very large update at the same time. Petulant forum whining and showing off your system specs won't make a bit of difference to FD and their server farm. If you really want them to notice your problem, then log a support call. You never know, if enough people log the same issue every time there's a major release, then maybe they will eventually take notice and temporarily beef up their update servers and/or AWS bandwidth allocation for release day to stop this happening.

God someone needs to chill out, put their e-peen away and learn how not to be an obnoxious individual.

Remember children, you are not your system specs, or the size of your ego, you are not important all that much really, and no a CPU doesn't need to run at 40C in order to be stable, these are the facts... deal with it.

Yeah my bad     Core2Quad 2.8GHz BEAST of a rig (from 7 years ago) is downloading (From the middle of nowhere Canada) at a thundering 4MB/s and i don't have a 200mb fibre connection.
