The maximum percentage increase from heavy duty 0A boosters is 73.9% (G5 HD mod + super caps), with a 7A prismatic + 4 x HD + 2 x TR boosters you can generate around 5700 MJ shield strength according to ED shipyard

My resistance based build in EDSY is spot on with in game data, I think the issue is with imported data as you get the correct percentage increase from heavy duty 0A boosters if you redo them in Coriolis.

Hi guys,

Hey, at least according to Coriolis, the Corvette is not that much more agile than an Anaconda, at least with dirty drag drives. And, actually, it looks like the Anaconda is markedly faster with yaw. Do the ships handle different in-game, or is the claimed agility edge of the Corvette mostly false?

I am working towards getting the Corvette, but that was mostly because I expected it to feel more light-footed. (I still want one, just because it looks better in my opinion.)

Stats vs hands on.
It feels much better to me, can't be doing with the Conda for fighting.
You've just got to try it and see.[yesnod]

I have both with similar builds and on paper the Conda should be a little better in respect of hull and the agility should be similar but the Vette flies like an enormous fighter (probably down to its 24% higher roll rate I believe) also having the class 4 hardpoints on top of the hull makes combat a lot easier (the class 3 and 4 on the Condas underside limit the coverage of these weapons.

They're both great ships but for sheer fun at a HazRES the Corvette would be my choice.

Yea, spreadsheet flyers can argue back-and-forth until Heck freezes over and settle absolutely nothing.

My Corvette flies like my Python, but without the boost-stall. And I can sit in a haz res or CNB in my Python until I'm mind numb.

But it's Big Brother, my Corvette just absolutely slaughters everything in sight in a haz res or CNB. It's not even a fair fight anymore, but I don't care. I like OP'd. :D

Ceekay: I can (and do) fire all my hardpoints at once at medium and larger ships, and can rotate to keep things firing until the capacitor depletes which is about 30 seconds. I've not flown a conda in combat, but can it do this as well as the 'vette with those hardpoints on the underside?

Just curious, but I'm not interested in buying one of those tugs again just to find out. Thanks. :)

I use a similar weapon array on both efficient gimballed beams and OC fixed cannons, the Vette has 2 x class 4 beams and 5 fixed cannon and the Conda has 2 x class 2 beams + 2 x class 3 beams and 4 fixes cannon the DPS is close but the Vette benefits from the huge weapons superior performance against larger ships (TBH most of the time I just use the beams).

They're both effective ships in HasRES or CNB but the Conda feels like a massive vessel and the Vette feels like a large fighter in combat

I forgot to mention the cannons use the force shell experimental as it's huge fun, they're capable of throwing ships into asteroids and watching a T10 getting hurled backwards never gets old! :)

As if I wasn't busy enough, I've got to try that now!
Stuff it, I'll just buy another Vette.:D

Best Li Yong-Rui outfitters for Vette?

Got it, bought at Lembava, additional outfitting at Diaguandri.

Hi guys, i'm wondering if anyone has experience with huge cannons on the corvette? Lately multicannons have been getting boring to me, and i'm looking for something new. I've tried PA's but they draw too much power for my liking. Huge fixed cannons with overcharged does over 50 dps on paper with barely any distributor draw. Are they as good as they seem?

I Love My Vette !!. The view from the cockpit is awesome. It handles well and just feels comfortable. All of the things that I dislike about my Annie are fixed in the Vette. I have it mostly A rated and ENG the FSD up to a horrible 23 LY Jump. My only downside is the jump range, maybe a I should invest the time for a guardian drive for this ship.

The guardian FSD booster is the only guardian trinket I bothered to unlock. And the reason for doing so was my 'vette. :D

With 32LY on tap I find myself flying it more than any other ship I own.

I tried the class 4 cannons on the Vette several months ago and yes they can do a lot of hull damage but due to their low shot speed it's not that easy to land hits consistently, I fit class 4 efficient beams and fixed OC + force shell in the five smaller Hp, the beams will destroy up to Python level ships quite easily on their own and the cannons will quickly kill the hull on anything bigger.

I used cannons in the large, medium and small hardpoints in various combinations but came to similar conclusions as above, that they do pack a wallop but hard to keep them consistent. Again after reading posts here I then tried fragment cannons in those spots but the huge DPS boost didn't translate into results for me. I now have the best rigout yet for me anyway. I have fixed Beams in the large and small hardpoints and gimballed multi-cannons in the huge and medium hardpoints. All engineered to G5. The gimballed MC's have enough movement that it is easy to keep them and the fixed beams on target. If I am attacked I put 4 pips to weapons and one each on systems and engines. Unless attacked by more than one ship I rarely lose more than one ring of my shields and found that if I can keep inside 4-500mtrs of an Anaconda it will pop in less than 30 seconds.

Thanks for the feedback on the cannons. I tried them, and as expected, they are fun but just not reliable enough. I'll be going back to the multicannons. That loadout of yours seem very interesting. I just looked it up on coriolis.io and it looks amazing. Your three beam lasers deal just as much damage as my five pulses, and because of the extra two medium multicannons your dps is insanely high. I might have to steal your loadout if you don't mind. I'm wondering what experimentals you use on the lasers. Thermal vent?
