On the First look, there is a hardpoint on the nose, but its from the Second c2 from the right side. So in the end an optical illusion and there are 7 as there hould...sry guys..
That looks quite nice. Currently farming passengers for cash in Robigo and saving up for an entry to Corvette land. This looks affordable and who doesn't like lots of laz0rz.
Shield get into trouble much? I just want to sail around HazRez's and light up NPCs...
Nothing in PVE short of maybe Thargoids is going to drop the shields of an engineered Vette. I guess maybe if you were in a very lopsided Combat Zone, or take a hold full of gold into a high level pirate activity zone, but its so strong to the point of being boring sometimes.

It has only happened once, but I was in a haz res recently and had just finished off a pirate when I noticed two non-winged condas scanning me. And while that was happening, a wing of two condas showed up.
I tagged all of them and just started blasting away. I managed to kill them all, but I did go through two double SCB recharges during the fight. Without them, I would have had to run as my shields would not have lasted through the fight, and I don't carry armor.
Normally, I'll use one to three SCBs during a hour or so of haz res hunting if there are lots of pirates around. If the haz res is less hectic, I may not use any.
A vette is pretty strong, but it's not invincible IMO. Just a note of caution.
I just wanted to finally walk into the Admiral's Lounge as its newest member. I've played Elite since day one with my eyes on the Corvette for as long as I can remember. It always seemed impossibly out of reach, but after a couple hundred hours of avoiding the easy grind I managed to find myself in the pilot's seat. She's still a few upgrades short of her final setup, but nothing can challenge her in a fight. I couldn't believe how much more fun to fly she is than my old Anaconda. So fast, so maneuverable, and I can use fixed weapons again. Can't wait for squadrons.

My gold anaconda has done great service, but if you're this is so much better, then I will sell the anti xeno t10 and the conda thug. I've got all the engineered modules I need to put one straight into service fully tickled up. Nice screen shots.

Don't you just hate it when the strings holding them up are showing!!.
Hah, didn't even notice that. Needed thicker strings for the Majestic, since its so big and heavy.

Small update on this. Since making that loadout, I have been experimenting heavily with other setups, and have returned to a staple from my Python: a pair of gimballed lasers and triple PAs. Now before anyone wonders why the medium PAs are overcharged and the large one is efficient, and not all 3 are the same - notice the nigh-identical DPS that this combination results in. As the PA projectile graphics (i.e. size and brightness of the projectile) scale with the damage, this makes the shots from the 3 look pretty much identical. So this is mostly done for style reasons, I could in principle afford to make the large one overcharged as well.
I have had my corvette for a while but have only recently decided to "finish" engineering it (and am still undecided on whether I want point defense + chaff vs two more HD boosters).
I'm quite happy with her. She is large, powerful, intimidating. It was the ship I wanted the moment they announced her.

The dang Beta struck again. I decided since what happens in Beta stays in Beta, I would try out another ship I'd been curious about. (I have a similar story about the Type-10)
I sold off some ships and bought a Corvette. Moved some of those big modules over from the T-10 ... took the Vette out for a spin and WOW !!! That ship really maneuvers good in SC. The roll is very good, better than my Beluga (iirc) or it feels like it. I think I could like this ship - a lot. So I'm back in RL account juggling modules, selling a ship here and there and I will be buying one even if it leaves me with with a measly 3 or 4 ships and strapped for cash for a while.
I think this thing can be a real money maker. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. GL HF Commanders

Indeed the 'vette is. Best heavy multi purpose in the game. O.K., the Cutter carries more cargo, but the SC and normal cruise immobility really kills it for me.
One of my Corvettes is configured as a armed trader. My Python's Big Brother if you will.
I've even been known to fill it full of passenger cabins and haul people around for MFE. I even like hauling wanted people around just to get the four conda interdictions.
