Rear camera view pls

Asteroids and other such objects do appear on your sensors.

Optimal range setting is usually one up from the lowest, which should give you at least 500-1000m of warning. If you need more, you probably need more practice or more flight assist.

Sorry but what I need is the rear view mirror ;) Its simple yet effective.

Not saying a rear view mirror or camera wouldn't be nice, but the sensor display works nearly as well for avoiding ships and asteroids.

I'm actually in favour of this request, it was a capability in the original Elite, along with rear firing weapons.

Slowed down, aligned on the Krait's attacking and - let them have it.

Yup it works, but I remember from old Elite that we had a some sort of camera and it would make sense and be very helpful to have one in new game too. :)

learn to fly you back Galaxy yokel!! you just dinged my fender :p
or you mean like this?

we do have backwards firing weapons, at least after a fashion with the turrets. but it would be neat if we had something like that maybe inform of a screen like in the com's or notifications panels that shows you a view like a backup camera on newer cars.

the only direction you should be moving is forward, don't ever look back. =)

ha, no a rear view camera would be pretty cool. cars of today have them, yet advanced spacecraft of the future have probably the worst radar system i've ever seen and no cameras to see. that is a bit odd, even for those "immersion" fans out there.

i got that screen in the middle working (sorta), i'm reading the forums on it :p

I used to really enjoy flipping the ship over to get a few shots in while my military lasers cooled down. I miss the rear view.

IIRC I used to mount my mining laser on the left or right view too.
