Recommended Asp load out for...

NPC Elite Anaconda....

Wondering about weapons, armour, shield cells, etc.

Currently using 2 class 2 gimballed multicannons, 2 class 1 gimballed multicannons, 2 class 1 gimballed beams, 2b shield cells...

Save the money and get a Viper. You can battle arm it for ~5m CR as opposed to 35m for the ASP. Use the Viper to get used to taking down the NPC Elite Anacondas and then you'll have the knowledge of what it takes in the ASP.
 
The problem with the ASP is that its thrusters arent upto the job for close quarters.


You will get mauled by a Conda unless you kick back and circle strafe it from range which is, to be honest, boring.

Ok, thanks, but that's not what I asked. I already have a fully kitted out Asp I'm quite happy with, just looking for suggestions on how to maximize it for this scenario...
 
There are many ways to engage an anaconda with an ASP, but they all require planning. Though you already beat him this is moot.
A loadout would be Class 1 x4 gimballed pulse lasers and Class 2x2 multi-cannons aimed straight into it's power reactor. Use the pulse lasers to whittle down the shields and the multi-cannons to deal with the armor
A second idea would be Class 2 x2 Lasers and x4 Class 1 multi-cannons
Or you can try a mixed load out.

Directed energy weapons are best used against shields while kinetic weapons are best used against hull and targeting sub-systems. But a smaller ship VS a larger ship does require strategy and planning before you engage.

Thanks for the feedback. You prefer 4 pulse over 2 beams?
 
my current load out is 2x 2-beam gimballed 1x 1-beam turret 3x mulitcannon 1 gimballed
the problem I have is trying to KWS them before they die.

When I can afford / find the class 2 turreted beam, I will be happy.
